They want to gauge the markets response to the Note 9 specs and appearance after poor sales of the S9 line up earlier this year. There's talk about convergence of the Note and S lines from Samsung and tbf it would make sense.

Lets hope that its slightly smaller in dimensions to the Note 8. That was a fraction too big. That said otherwise the phone looks truly sensational. Ticks just about every box but for IR blaster.

Wouldnt... moreYou mean the new Sony solution, so far I've only seen criticism. What happens is that you need to curve your finger inward to a specific spot to activate the sensor. Counterintuitive.
Or maybe you have really small hands.

Samsung is pretty lazy these days. hopefully, they'll get a slap like Apple for being lazy. Galaxy S8 and S9 looks exactly the same and do exactly the same. nothing new except dual camera and now the same story about Note9 and Note8. I Think i will skip all Samsung Phones until they add some nice features and new design.

seriously I don't like edged screen on Note, its reducing surface for the pen and the edges are reflective making both sides out of the view area. edge is totally just for sake of something new, its good for nothing. edge menus can be achieved on flat screen also.
Note series screen should be flat or a little bit small bezel with flat screen wont hurt any design sentiment.

Comparing a Samsung flagship phone with the Xiaomi Mi 8 would be kind of unfair, seeing as how you can see the price difference. That's why Huawei is more dangerous to Samsung than Xi. Xiaomi are for those who want bang for buck, a phone that only has mostly what it needs. Huawei flagships and Samsung flagships specialize in looking good, feeling good, having a lot of options, and a pretty versatile phone general

Redmi Note 5 costs about 50% cheaper than Samsung's cheapest new model called A6 2018. In South Korea.
You could choose bazillions of shit units vs Samsung flagships and Sammy will win.
Apple users can also choose from the weakest of Samsung own bazillion units and pick those that would lose vs the iphone.
