Alien , 24 Jul 2018I kinda agree with most of your comment, except for the end... moreeven without root you can just download and install the APK that are paid on google store and download it for free on site that promotes piracy

And the war between Samsung and Apple can begin.
There will be only one winner.
          Chinese xiaomi or Huawei.
          Loosers will never win.

Anonymous, 24 Jul 2018iOS is like an electric car, with a minimalistic and clean ... moreAgreed with most all of your points. It should be noted that stock Android aims to have the same outcome, ease of use, rote user behaviors through consistent UI, clean interface. You might also like the Pixel line since it's getting so close to that level of uniformity. Out of the box it's a simple intuitive OS. And for your inner geek you can still add widgets, customize your home screen, all the things that are still part of the open Android mantra. Or don't. That's the beauty of it.

Anonymous, 24 Jul 2018iOS is like an electric car, with a minimalistic and clean ... moreThat's a long message but at the same time- RAW & "informative". A person having some hardcore experience with both the platforms can understand what you are explaining. After using Android for the last 9 years(All flagships of different brands, every Samsung galaxy S flagship without skipping a single one in between and iPhones in between for 2 times), I exactly understand what you are saying and you are absolutely correct. ME - A hardcore IT guy by the way,all I love is tech.

Rooting an android does not imply you are using cracked /illegal apps, or download illegal music etc. Though it is possible.
I do it to gain administrative wrights, modify the os, debloat it, install and run scripts made by myself and other things.
Who in the world left you with the general idea that root is used only for illegal purposes? Slap their face and tell them they're wrong.
It all depends on the user, their intentions and most of all, their IQ, which has to be pretty high to be able to "hack" without getting caught. Again, depending on one's intentions.
You can call me a geek, I don't care. I just love programming, scripting, tweaking. I can't do any of that with an iPhone, which in other words translate as useless for me.
Last thing : you can't officially jailbreak an iPhone, but you can officially root an android phone straight from their official website (Sony is one of them).

Alien , 24 Jul 2018If you are a regular user, that will be using the phone for... moreiOS is like an electric car, with a minimalistic and clean design where most stuff is hidden from sight but accessible via a touch/gesture, and everything related to how the car runs is handled automatically. You just sit back and enjoy the view around you, talk to people inside the car, or you do something else. Your mind does not need to focus on the car at all, as it doesn't even have a steering wheel.

Android is like a petrol engine car, where the user can tune it and modify the ECU mapping, tweak the exhaust note, how fast the windows go up and down, install different gearboxes with different gear ratios, use a dial to adjust the stiffness of the suspension, etc. The driver's mind needs to be focused on the car and the road.

Some people prefer to be both the mechanic and the driver, while other people prefer to not bother with such things and focus on other, more important stuff instead.

iOS provides a consistent experience across all alread of the OS and the user interface/user experience, whereas Android gets some things right and others totally wrong. You can customise it, install different launchers and icon packs, but sometimes you end up looking at a certain part of the user interface and realise it just doesn't look right. Or certain interactions overlap with others, and you sometimes can't use them properly.

Even though you don't bump into these inconsistencies on a daily basis (or maybe some users do), it's enough for some people to be put off by them.

I used to tweak and customise the shhh- out of my Android phones over the past 7 years and would always be on the lookout for the next best launcher, then icon sets, then actions and gestures, colour schemes, smart extra features, etc. Most of the time, everything looked and worked nice, but there were times when the OS would "hiccup". Those happened between a few times a week to a few times a day, depending on what I needed to use my phone for.

Six months ago, I got a new contract and got an iPhone 7 with it just for teh lulz. I already had a Galaxy S7 which is still perfectly functional and got the iPhone with the thought of selling it.
I ended up not selling it, because at some point I wanted to test iOS and see what it's like using iPhone as a daily driver. And what do you know... it's not that bad. And the more I started using it and understand the thinking behind the user experience and user interface, I got to see that everything makes sens, is logical and intuitive. And each and every part of the OS fits together just like pieces of a complete puzzle. Now I don't have to think about the phone itself, I can focus on results and most of the times I ignore the whole phone concept. It's the difference between 'everything is working' vs. 'almost everything is working and I need/want to fix it'.

Note: if one needs the "freedom" to install unsigned/cracked apps, and download and store music and movies illegaly on their phones/tablets, they should stick with Android, even though it's wrong to enjoy other people's work without paying them a dime.
If you do everything legally and pay for the stuff you use - which is the normal and considerate thing to do - then you might possibly enjoy iOS and its apps and services more.

When android retaliate it always the android fault. Let them keep playing this childish game. It working well anyway. The ads translate to sales.

Why do so many Apple handsets need servicing? (Yes, many androids too but they don't need to have a bar for it).

When the time comes, I just go get another phone and that's usually after 2 or 3 years.

I hope this is some kinda teaser saying the next galaxy s10 will keep 3.5 jack :). Good job Sammy

Anonymous, 24 Jul 2018Samsung phones are just another line of not so smart androi... moreHa ha ha...Please, hope that was sarcastic, apple is years behind android, with its control over what you can install and what you can do with your phone, every single function or feature apple is adding to their phones was available on android at least 3 years before that. do the math, simple answer. Sure some will like iphones due to their name and make, but that is fading away now,

Well, I don't know and don't care about iphones but galaxy phones fast charge is so sloooow!
S9 still uses QC 2.0 when there are phones with QC4.0+...

HTC used to mock Samsung, look where they are now..
Mocking a company to increase your sales is a cheap move.
Samsung phones are good, but so are Apple's, and so are a dozen of other companies' as well.

                                  Gigabit LTE is almost useless.
iPhone camera is one of the best regardless of the questionable DxO mark
and battery life is good with or without fast charging.

These ads feel like mocking a good shirt because it has plastic buttons.

If you are a regular user, that will be using the phone for fb, taking selfies and playing silly games, ANY smartphone today is more than capable.
BUT, if you are a power user and you demand administrative access to your SMARTphone, clearly ios is NOT the place for that.
I've tried using iphones, but after about 10 minutes of using it I realized it's so damn restricted it made me feel like I was sent to prison or something.
Definitely not a device for power users, developers, ppl with high IQ in general that love tweaking and modifying the os for their needs and tastes.
I'd say that ios is for the broad majority, while android is for those that are more experienced.
Don't heate me for stating the truth. If you feel I'm wrong, please reply with your arguments in a decent manner.

Luxor, 24 Jul 2018If Samsung sell cheaper than chinese phone and monopolized ... moreGoing so cheap will reduce quality.
My point is that apple is a very profitable company only because it's profit margins are high and these Samsung Galaxy s and note and Google pixel could be much cheaper if they didn't compete with Apple to create a false premium feel.Apple customers are the ones which want the logo but such is not the case with other oem and samsung, google,Sony,lg,htc, etc should do what they did best and stop the apple bashing.
Conclusion is Samsung(or others) can sell a 50 million phones for $200 profit each or sell 10 million phones for a $500 profit each while competing with apple to keep a false premium sense.
