I think that the 4,65 inches are not too much because the nexus won´t have buttons. So the Nexus will be as big as phones with buttons and a smaller display!
Just my opinion

Biggest network has the worst phones. With the rumors of 2 diff. Galaxy Nexuses coming stateside. I'm dreading the launch announcewment cuz Verizon always finds a way to botch "exclusive" releases. If Verizon skipped SGSII, to get this phone exclusively, in the States. If this thing launches on VZW as Galaxy Nexus w/ a 1.2GHZ proc. & a 5mp camera. That's fine and dandy. If this phone is only a temp. exclusive release that's to be followed by the "alternately specced Prime(1.5GHZ, 8mp cam), on other carriers. I'm gonna go ballistic.

I think the reason for the better specs was to address the performance gap that would of resulted from the new iPhone 4S. This is very similar to what happen to the Galaxy Tab 10.1 when Apple came out with the iPad2. By honoring Jobs death would give Samsung more time to "fix" the Nexus Prime so it be "the" super phone we all want it to be. I cannot confirm anywhere on the internet that the Samsung Exynos 4212 1.5 Ghz will be paired with the GPU PowerVR SGX 543MP2 (same GPU in the iPad2 and iPhone 4S). Instead, I only "see" evidence of the GPU ARM Mali-400 MP4 which is not in the same league as the PowerVR. (See AnandTech articles http://www.anandtech.com/show/4760/arms-mali400-mp4-is-the-fastest-smartphone-gpufor-now and http://www.anandtech.com/show/4940/qualcomm-new-snapdragon-s4-msm8960-krait-architecture#comments). I hope I'm wrong....

An android phone may well require the extra power. Cuase y'know, Android phones have these things called APPS. They're all the rage with the kids right now.

i don't thing the battery specs are truthful. it'd be good if they are, but with such a slim phone i doubt it. also, none of the other samsung devices have a battery remotely close to that size, so i doubt that's gonna happen. the rest may be true, but the battery thing did strike me as improbable.

OLED isn't back-lit like LCD. It uses induced bio-luminescence. It's generally more power efficient than LCD. Additionally, the darker the screen, the less power it takes. Because the soft-keys section is not active, the actual screen portion using power during most use-cases is closer to 4.5in.

"Which specifications list sound more plausible to you?"
Since Samsung already announced the more high-end spec phone, entitled the Galaxy S II HD LTE, on September 26th (in Korea) it is not just plausible that phone will be released here as the Nexus Prime, but highly probable. What, are they going to invent a completely new phone in the meantime?

GSMArena: "As for the battery, expect a 2050mAh one (do we hear a whoa?), which should be good for a couple of days use without charging."
Why do you guys keep doing it? Modern touch-phones last at best 24 hours with 30% left. Then its time to recharge. The increased 2050mAh capicity is all neutralized thanks to the unnecessary big 4.65 screen with bigger rezolution on top of that. Stop kidding yourself.
