The one thing that ruins this, is that Meizu releases it with Android 7.0
Why?
Because they do not want to launch it with Project Treble, they do not want to have to release software updates to Android 9, 10, 11 in the next 2-3 years. They want their devices to be a disposable commodity.
PS it's not just Meizu that's stooping to this underhanded tactic, many Chinese OEMs are doing it too!!

The Galaxy S9+ has a StB of 84.2% and the only NOTCHED phones with higher ratios are the Essential PH-1 and the Sharp Aquis S3. Notched phones are STUPID because most still have a chin, and the one "without a chin" (iPhone X) has one of the worst StB ratios on a 2017 flagship.

160 x 78 mm (height x width), love these dims for a 6.5" display. Could have been made thicker -9mm (instead of just 7.3mm) and put larger battery.
Current ph -Mi Max 2 (174 x 88 mm for it 6.45" display)..anybody like to buy it used!!

AnonF-778115, 24 Jul 2018The biggest weakness of this phone company : android update... moreI see you rambling about old aspect ratio for some time now. 16:9 is going away, and it's a good thing, 18:9 and taller aspects are better when watching movies, since most of them are screened with 19-21:9 aspect ratio, and taller screens make for a better viewing experience. Plus when reading, more information available compared to 16:9.

Very unfortunate too, this phone :
- Does not have aspect ratio of the screen like its predecessor (meizu 15)
- Battery capacity is small, even smaller than its predecessor (meizu 15)

sarkar the govt, 24 Jul 2018white color is stellar but afraiding their flyme ui....is t... moreFlyme is actually pretty good, and relatively friendly for international users. If you hate ColorOS etc. Flyme could well be the most acceptable of the Chinese OS skins for you.
