If I'm in a hurry, I'll use 50 W if I don't, I'll downscale it to extend the life time

Walter C. Dornez, 26 Jul 2018Dude, of course we would be worried. The Galaxy Note 7 show... morefor as long as you want a phone you are already in danger because any phone can explode. even your sun glasses without any battery on it can be melt if you leave them on the sun in a very high temperature and it can damage your skin. so better have a 50W and use it when you need it the most and use 18W or a little more in normal and use 50W when you in a hurry. you cant go 50W on a phone that has no idea what 50W. but you can go from 50W to 18W because that phone knows it. better have it then not have it. ny the way the origin of the word "dude" has been on the Late 19th century (denoting a dandy): probably shortened from doodle, perhaps with allusion to Yankee Doodle Dandy. im no Yankee Doodle Dandy so stop calling me that. thanks.

The Galaxy Note 7 showed that is possible for phones to blow up when battery expands. I'm pretty sure Oppo knows what they're doing, and most people will agree when that charger is out into practice

kalemkolik, 26 Jul 2018Yes safe. I don't know, I'd prefer an app that would allow me to use 18 W unless I'm in a hurry

Geric.770, 26 Jul 2018Faster charging times, faster battery degredation! WTH are... moreListen.

All the heat is external and by the charging brick near the power outlet. The batteries themselves are kept cool and this helps charging speeds. They also fill multiple cells at the same time to lower the charging times so to not stress the cells themselves out as much. Its quite possibly the most efficient way yet to charge a phone and is probably safer/better all round than how Apple or Samsung do it. There's no horror stories covered up of expanding batteries under stress like there are for Apple and Samsung.

                Definitely well done to Oppo...

nailed it, 26 Jul 2018now everyone starting to be a damn genius and asking of its... moreHahaha dude leave people with small **** hmm charger alone.....they suffer enough.

now everyone starting to be a damn genius and asking of its safe, will make the battery worst, will it shorten its life, will it explode, will it make you a millllionaire, will it f*** your wife when you will forget your phone home, will it cause more earth quakes, is michael jackson really dead, will the moon get brighter, will flat earth believers stop living in their fantasy ideas........ JUST STOP IT. if you was smarter you would have already made your own phone, have you? NO. then SHUT UP. keep your iphone, charge it for 5 hours and enjoy leaving the house every time with 30% because you never got the time to fully charge it. deal with it. thanks. you are welcome.

Now you can charge your phone even faster. And at the same time reduce its endurance and charge cycles even faster. What's not to like? It's like scamming your customers twice without them realizing it. That's good business sense.

Plus, it comes with a added possibility of your phone exploding. Genius!

Is that even safe? 50 W into a phone?
