[deleted post]The funny part is even not all Android devices together can make that sales number of Apple...

And just remember Apple is just Apple and iOS is running on only one device and Android is in over +200 phones around.... :P

[deleted post]One think is just sure

Maybe Nexus Prime will run faster or better specs than iPhone, but the sales number will never been even close to iPhone ones...

No matter what marketing they use....Apple is Apple and no other has this impact on people...

Even Apple logo is more recognized than any other phone logo around....

I am greatful to the iPhone for coming in a few years ago and waking up the sleepy, boring mobile market. Hell, at that time a slow, cumbersome device with slow, cumbersome and boring interface and apps was seen as a terribly advanced piece of technology. And a dim 2,4" inch display was marketed as "large" and "vibrant" (Nokia, hello). The money was channeled into managers' bonuses to the useless top managers instead of innovation. And such market had to be punished, and it was when Apple came in and showed how thins really should be done. But hey, those times have passed, Apple had its fun, and I feel that Apples virtues are largely exagerated now, as most of the market players perform on par with Apple. Time to look elsewhere, folks

AnonD-5102, 08 Oct 2011200,000 pre-orders isn't anything special to brag about. On... more200 000 just for sprint, do you even have a idea on how many companies are doing pre orders, i phone users are loyal due to the fact that its a reliable product and simple, not everyone wants a non user freindly android phone, if your not to techy a android phone can be useless, apple is easy and simple and many of its customers love that. Im not a android hater, i like both, but im just giving the reason why iphone users are IPHONE USERS. :)

While you looking your specsheet iPhone users actually can do lot of things with that specsheet :)

Hint: Apple don't try to compete with speclist, they do things what really matters and see in everyday use.

for example see this site about iPhone 4s: http://daringfireball.net/2011/10/thoughts_and_observations_iphone_4s

then also this: 3.5 Inches http://dcurt.is/2011/10/03/3-point-5-inches/

It shows very well why apple don't put big screen on their phone, they don't put big screen if it's not good to use and it's clearly not very ergonomy. Sorry galaxy s2 users, most of people don't want your huge phones you don't need to try to market those in every apple news.

Samsung fans are new iphone fans, VERY annoying people!

I'm waiting flstudio mobile to get dual core support and how it's going to make that even better, because you can create much heavier stuffs.

Anyways, to me the iPhone 4s is a disappointment. The Are they release was delayed 4 months only to show up with a "4S". I think Apple is a little bit too conscious of not being able to keep up with the competitive race. It's supposed to be time for an iPhone 5, not iPhone 4s. Are they ashamed that they were given plenty of time yet they can't deliver? Samsung Galaxy S 2 is right on their face and probably Apple thinks it is better to regress to the name 4S instead of 5 just to save face. Wait, Samsung Galaxy 3 is coming 1st quarter of 2012. Surely that would be better than the arguably the best right now - Sgs2.

Not here to put you down. Just waking you up that there is better technology than Apple can offer. Just like in war, past glory does not assure of future victory. Apple has to strive to get back their crown because honestly Android is ahead right now.

Sure :D actually every survey says that iPhone users are going to stay with Apple. Last survey told 93% are going to stay iphone users. I'm sure there's much more android users to choosing iPhone 4s than iPhone users going for android.

I really don't think many iOS users want android, i really don't see almost any point doing that.

Perhaps those who are current iPhone 4 users, but for new people who are shifting to iphone, I dont think the number rises. and one more thing, Apple is good on advertisement and encouraging people. SIRI is kinda new to most people, but voice talk is already existing. Galaxy S I and II feature voice talk, so do other android phones.

For example I can run ubuntu on android, but only on mobiles capable of doing so (or tablets for that matter)
Its not just 3g/lte that makes browsing fast too. It is also down to hardware.
In addition it will also require good hardware to run decent emulations for your gaming needs (tho in serious note I never understood why people play games on phones...)
And finally, I can say in true multitasking manners, hardwares do matter.

That said, welldone to Apple. Another record breaker on the way.

200,000 pre-orders isn't anything special to brag about. One simple reason why, Pay attention to how many people have an iPhone already they tend to be the crowd that aren't very tech savvy so they will trade in their old iPhone's for a new and "improved" iphone 4S regardless of how it looks like and what has changed on it just to say they have the new iPhone and are "Cool" and they can download Apps.. Yet you see so many former iPhone users leaving to go to Android phones for newer and better technology. The iPhone trend will remain for a while don't get me wrong. But those people who will be getting the iPhone 4s aren't new customers, they are iPhone users just upgrading..
