This can purely attributed to a marketing strategy rather to a quality product as iPhone has been surpassed by other phones in the market (call me Samsung Galaxy SII)

If you expect someone to believe your statement then why dont you follow it up with a proof ? Where does it say that A5 "beats Exynos hard" ?
About the camera, and rest of features you mentioned was in comparison to iphone 4. It's obvious that the 4s will be better than iPhone 4, but the question is that how will it fare against galaxy SII and the upcoming nexus prime.

To be honest I actually hate Apple but always admired what Steve Jobs did so I am planning on buying iPhone 4S just because I loved his work so much. I am a loyal Nokia fan though but somehow Steve Jobs has always been one of my favs and this will be my little way of showing respect to someone who knew what we wanted when we didn't.

buntz, 08 Oct 2011nothing new, apple knows how to sell, android needs to learn, Android is an OS not a phone! Many manufacturers happen to use it as the OS of choice in their phones. No one doubts Apples cache or marketing strategy, i have ip4 and wont be buying ip4s, as in truth, without the apps my ip4 will be hitting the bin. In addition to my ip4, also have S2, arc S and Sensation XE so before you start posting about not being able to afford, i can pretty much buy any phone i like and the ip4 is a miss for but may consider IP5!

Most of the people have no clue what a big upgrade iPhone 4S is ,
Processor : Really best one right now is A5 because it has the fastest and highest graphics performance about 4 times better than 10.1 samsung tablet and 2 times better than galaxy s2.It beats exynos very hard.
Camera : I think Its fastest camera and also improved it a lot because more pixel resolution , big aperture , HDR feature from iOS 4.1 , lockscreen shortcut and my expectations are really high for camera.
iPhone 4 is the most popular camera and 4S for sure beats it.
Siri : Another good feature to have.
iCloud : Again another biggie for everyone those who are waiting. especially features like Simultaneous downloads , iTunes re-downloads , photo stream , backup etc etc
Antenna : Again copied from samsung's design (yep apple copied it and samsung has patents for such antenna design) Reception will be excellent comparing previously and also speed also improved.
3rd Carrier support : sprint
iOS 5 is another advantage to 4S
Biggest thing i like is battery management , whether u say it doesn't have flash or widgets whatever , battery life is very good comparing other phones , GSMarena did tested iphone 4 and came out with huge result. 4S continues this lead in good battery life.
these features are enough for common man to immediately run to nearby store or order online.
one thing i like is apple products "just work" right out of the box and also they work as they advertised i mean apps or games or whatever features they announce so everyone buy it.
Samsung also improved a lot though , i stick with android atm for widgets and flash.
so i think whether apple copied others or not , they did it again with another successful product.
well comparing android phones , i think 4S is taking really big leap in performance , software and also many people awaited so long for iphone

Apple has the highest rating of customer satisfaction and the lowest return rate among all brands. So this scenario is already foreseen. It's not impossible that iPhone 4S will again be the best-selling smartphone next year as they were last year and even beat Samsung Galaxy S II. I, a Nokia fan myself, will prefer an iPhone 4S over a Galaxy S II.
