I wish it had a notch. It would mean that wouldn't have the gargantuan dimensions reported in the article.
Fear not the iPads would be almost as huge and unusable as ever. Your dreaded notch won't make an appearance, instead you'd see a useless fat bezels in place. Apple forgot how to engineer a tablet that you can hold from within the screen (iPad mini anyone), so they need big fat bezels. You are in luck.
Here's hoping that Samsung does it right this time around cause Tab S4 is the last hope for the tablet world...

Bought a rather good, cheap tablet years ago, with good hardware. Never buying another one. It's smartphone and laptop only for me, from now on.

And eager to move on a 16/10 Tab S4 if the price isn't skyrocketing (Which it might) and also if the 10" is not too big (Which I'm afraid too). Otherwise I will go for a MiMax3 then, little bit smaller :D

Windows has no place in tablets. Buy a real laptop if you want to use windows. Surface pro was crap compared to real tablets and far worse than real laptops too. Sometimes being worse at both thing ain't worth it, just specialize.

Jobs hated anything that is not minimalistic.
Jobs would had fired them because they were so late in doing that. He was a fan of progress, 3.5mm is the past. A dead technology that should be buried but sadly Samsung and co keeps it alive. They should be persecuted for holding the world back.

For example books are 1.42:1 which is clear to 3:2
Movies are wide-screen so 3:2 is closer
Most apps/games are using a tall/wide aspect too.
In general 4:3 is dead. IPads are selling despite that not because of that. They otherwise use top end hardware which is important to people.
Apps are just fine on android for tablet use. The apps issue is overblown.

4:3 is a throwback to the past. All apps are wither wide-screen or using a tall aspect ratio. Nothing, nothing, nothing is using a "square aspect ratio".
3:2 is the best compromise between what most/all apps use (tall/wide ratio) and being able to handle the thing well. But 16:10 would do too.
4:3 on the other hand is just dead. Basically the greatest disadvantage of iPads apart from how locked their OS is (another throwback)

Goodness people these days. First they hold phones the wrong way, then they have sweaty palms that remove the high quality coating of the Jet Black iPhones, then this.

What's the next Apple device after iPad Pro (SOON to come to iPads) WITHOUT the headphone jack in the future? Your guess is good as mine. My guess is the iPod Touch / Shuffle / Nano, MacBook Pros / MacBooks / MacBook Air, then iMacs and finally Mac Pros. It seems that Apple is HE** BENT on removing the headphone jacks on every apple device eventually. Apple is really MOVING BACKWARDS under Tim C(r)ook.
