People are only ok with a high price when it comes from Samsung or apple it seems.

Humm 1,000 + USD for a phone that most likely... moreActually, Samsung made a rugged MIL STD 810-G case for this phone along with their Clearview and LED case. $940 is a good price for this 128gb storage. We can expect the price will drop over 30-40% next year anyway. Early launching price always too expensive unless you have the money. Got no money but everyone got time. The more you wait the lower the price. Why not try buying the Note8 instead. Or maybe even the old Note 4.

Justification have to be made to buy 512GB.
If they release Linux for their dex mode. So you can run eclipse / intellj. Then maybe 512GB is a hit.
They will need a laptop dock as well.. No sane people will code on a phone, without keyboard or mouse.

Hi People before buying the phone, please think what value you will get after 2 years. We buy phones worth $1000 and after 1 year, if we try to sell it, do we even get 50% of that.

Price seems reasonable. I think the 128gb model will sell the best especially if it has an SD card slot. Wouldn't buy the locked down US version maybe the international version would be OK.

It's gonna sell like potatoes. Won't buy one myself since I don't even use the S Pel that much, but I know lots of people who skipped the note 8 and waiting for the big 9.

Me think this is not worth it . ... Good price will be around 800 Usd max

Its it doesn't have distinctive features from the s9+ it is no way with such a price, a 0.2 inch bigger screen, spen , and even it's it can record Eleni for twice as live just don't justify the price over the s9+ . Improved camera, bigger battery, proper facial unlock would help its cause

Plus just because you are earning less doesn't mean you could just give away your money. Common sense is a thing.

Anyways, it's choices of the consumers and reduced demand will surely drop the prices soon. On the other hand Apple will never reduce the prices even if the sales are less.

In general, these freebies are more effective in gaining customers than say reducing the prices. Every brand decides on the profit margin for their products, they will not offer these promotion for long because it'll hurt the profit margin quota. Customers think that they are getting an awesome deal when actually they aren't, to that extent. It's how business works man.
