Asus Zenfone Max Pro (M1) launches in Europe on August 13 at €250

That's from the official Asus web store in Spain. There the Zenfone Max Plus (M1) costs €50 more, despite being smaller and having a smaller battery.

This is last Joke about the supposed launch on August 13th?

I started to think that maybe this cell has a lot of problems for European market.
Or what else?

I'm becoming old waiting for this model :)))

      they got it first already in June!

      This time no more "sold out", available in a lot of webshops as well,
      not only in ASUS Store.
      Russia is the only market, where the Max Pro-s are available in wide range.

      and Max Pro is the only one phone whitout special prices,
      there are 1-2k Rub. discounts usual.

      But they also have:

      - Zenfone Max M1 (ZB555KL) (SD425 Phone with 4000mAh and tall screen).

      - Zenfone Live L1 (G552KL) - very affordable 5,5" phone with Android Oreo (Go Edition) ... and w. a Snapdragon SoC!
      and not that crappy sreen resolution, than the others with And-Go!

      Russia allways get the new ZenFones very early.

        We'll see what Nokia 6.1 Plus offers and costs.
        Android-one is not that big advantage in this case.

        Max Pro M1 has an incredible custom-rom, comm. support already,
        just chech XDA Dev-s!
        ASUS allways make the source-codes very early accessible,
        no other company give such a good support for dev-s.

        I think much more Max Pro M1-s will be sold,
        so more support will follow . . .

          Also users are very angry about that kind of energie-management.

          I have had a Huawei-device (not phone),
          never met that crappy software
          (freezes allways and very-very slow,
          the changelog was a nightmare, but still crappy and no more updates this time,
          also null support.)
          No possibilities to change despite warranty . . . a.s.a.
          That's Huawei!

          Never again a Huawei/Honor device!

            It comes at the same price as Nokia x6 quite a competitive pricing. Nokia has much better cameras, looks and feel are more premium and its Android One. This has bigger battery, display and 2gb more RAM. Hmm quite a challenge recommending one over the other. Guess it's all to the end user figuring what he prefers more power but less upgrades and worse looks or better looks but slower phone and smaller battery.

                Stock Android is for people who like Windows phone (8.1) or iOS simplicity, really, even with out theme support or dark mode UI.. But stock Android is still 'Android', so better to have more options in phone, than not to have, if does not affect spped of the phone, but it's 2018 era od slow phones is in the past, even Samsing is not that slow anymore with SE 8.1-8.5-9;

                  The versions for Taiwan got it!

                  350 EUR it's a lot more money, than 250
                  and the SDM660 is just a higher clocked SDM636 SoC,
                  dasn't necessarily mean a better choice for most people.
                  (the 636 is a better balanced option, will be next time's SD625 probably.)

                  Zenfone Max Pro M1 is a nearly unbeatable (performer lol) package this time.

                  How can you compare a Honor with EMUI with a stock Android phone?
                  . . . by the way,
                  Huawei phones starting blacklisted by some developers.

                    Although this particular device does away with all the Asus goodies.

                    I haven't gotten a confirmation whether it supports the original Asus camera app, which is one of the best IMO.

                        Taiwan got its two versions (3 and 6GB ver-s) last week,
                        so you will see a lot of reseller offers on Amazon and ebay shortly . . .
                        but without full US LTE coverage etc.

                          ASUS implemented the brand new and not proved yet Snapdragon 625 SoC as first manufacturer in ZenFone 3 (ZE520KL and ZE552KL models)
                          in 2016 !!

                          Xiaomi and others making good businesses with a lot of copies until today.
                          But who will notice that?

                                A bit too late for the market while Xiaomi redmi note 5 ai have been here already few months by now and for lower price even. Well at least the 3GB and 4GB ram versions

                                    If they've added NFC for the European model then it's a good deal, otherwise not so much. Nokia 7 plus is €349 and it's got a Snapdragon 660. Honor View 10 is currently at 360
