Huawei is king of gimmicks with ridiculous marketing claims. It was already exposed by GSM Arena that Gpu turbo is barely any improvement and only supported by measly few games, expect similar stuff with cpu turbo, any company has some kind of cpu and gpu management algorithms so yeah Huawei are nothing special, just marketing hype for nothing, move along.

Qualcomm already doing the Adreno Turbo GPU thing. I bet they will do a Snapdragon Turbo CPU after seeing this. This all can be implemented in every smartphone running snapdragon.

This sounds like an overclock so I doubt it will come to other phones without the liquid cooling. I wonder if gaming in the pc mode will be good?

There's nothing new, we know that most smartphone's cpu are already overclock ready since years ago.
Or even worst, they're actually underclocked it on normal mode (also its spec sheet are also shows the underclocked frequency so we don't know).

Walter C. Dornez, 31 Jul 2018I mean, did they say that they made something new? They called it a new name, therefore to the ignorant 90% or so of consumers it's something new.
Also the GPU Turbo is again not magic (their claim of "60% performance gain w/ 30% power conservation" is essentially magic) but requires specific optimizations from software devs on every compatible implementation. I didn't see "Optimized for Geforce" being marketed as some sort of "turbo" or some other misleading hyperbole. Their Mali is just everybody else's Mali.

Right, just give new names to existing concepts and call it a day. Huawei's yet to prove GPU Turbo's not just some implementation of Vulkan.

Anonymous, 31 Jul 2018heat pipes are nice and all, but... where does it go? smart... moreI'm definitely wrong on this one, but I believe that heat will be handled by the heat pipes on their own, and will only release heat once the CPU stops and starts to also cool down.
They basically act like storage of heat, which enables the CPU to have longer throttling point.

GingerVroomVroom, 31 Jul 2018So basically what OnePlus do when you run a Benchmark app? Lol yeah but Oneplus doesnt have cooler heat pipes and big battery to keep it for long term usage. So the idea is working.

why do you need it?the 950 dont have the fast chipset and turbo gpu but it perforns well through continuum. i can accept this doings if it can play pc games.
