it's 21st century and there are leaders in the world still believe censorship and dictatorship will continue to work. While the general political mood has allowed such backward thinking to surface after Trump; it's really shocking to learn that Google- the "search engine" giant would actually turn itself into a tool in dictators regimes.

So sad, the world is going to a very dangerous turn, led by no other than the Land of Freedom.

Koala, 02 Aug 2018Poor chinese people, they have no rights, they are used by ... moreI agree on the censorship but not all rights are universally valued. For example there is no and has never been net neutrality in China, but that's led to incredibly cheap data plans(like, $3/mo for 1GB data, after that 1GB, usage of up to 1GB daily for $0.15/d)(also due to fierce competition between Tencent and Alibaba, granted) with free unlimited data (speed limits apply past a certain point as usual) directed toward certain apps, including streaming apps and browsers.

So instead of Google and the internet bringing awareness of human rights and democracy, Google will help the totalitarian regime supress its people..
