Both SD630 and SD636 were released at 2017 (Q2/Q3) with SD636 being slightly newer and about 40 percent faster than SD630. SD636 uses Kryo CPU cores (modified cortex A73 and A53 in 4+4 configuration) instead of 8 cortex A53 ones) CPU frequency isnt the only thing that determines performance...

that's if somebody only the freq-s checking.
maybe just the other way round!
SDM630 is from 2017 and SDM636 from 2018!
also with other cores.
I think the SDM636 is even better, than the 660!!!
(simple a much better balanced package
and apart GPU the same just lower-clocked 660 SoC.)
That means longer akku-times.

Problem is that HMD does not manufacture phones in India and thereby incurs significant taxes, which raises the selling price for consumers. The same reason Apple phones are like 25% more expensive in India compared to the USA.
Plus Nokia also looks to have not included India as a priority in their business plan, going by their late/few launches. China gets all the best phones.

This rollout is taking waaaay too long. This is not a niche product, this is a smartphone. By the time they get it to Europe hardly anyone will still care, as 15 other phones will be released by the competitors. I understand brand loyalty and that there are fans who are willing to wait a LITTLE more, but they are pushing their luck. I'm pretty much ready to bail and instead get a Mi A2 Lite for instance.

Not much excited about it. Nokia did enough works to hike its price up to 18-20K INR.

You sould try if you have chance, because i know that Nokias is bot avai in every shop, provider etc , like Samsung phones are. But, for some reason, Noki Lumia 830 from 2014, have better quality photo in day light, than Nokia 7 Plus. Is it the reason Pureview, or something else, really dont know.

Not way they will price this below 20k. No one will buy this overpriced garbadge when they can get Nova 3i. Kirin 710 is SD660 level forget 636. AFAIK and from their previous track record 17K is just not gonna happen.

There is a big potential market for HMD's mid range smart phones in Iran, i dont know how is its market in USA, which forbidden manufacturers to trade within Iran. Still hope one day, nokia smart phones found their real market share in my country, as was before.
