Curved screen is unusable and produce annoying glare. Notch is better than samsung curved screen.

But then again majority doesn't drive the market. They just buy whatever is hot. The hotness of things are decided by the hardcore fans who do drive and buy innovation.
Also, the majority usually buys market tops and sell market bottoms. so they are most of the time wrong.

Huawei doing notch phone better than Apple themselves. Lol. See, no point in being 'first'. Even Essential is forgotten. Meanwhile, Samsung still strong with the anti-notch phone. Proven by being #1.

The alternative to a notch while still having sensor/camera on the front is to have a standard ”forehead” and that will give you less usable screen area since icons that you caould place on the side of the sensors then has to take up space on the normal screen area.

They did the same with non-removable batteries and because of them we don't have a choice now. I won't but a phone with a notch and no 3.5mm jack FOR NOW, but i'm aware it won't be long before i have no choices left and i have to but such an abomination (At least when it comes to the 3.5mm jack).

In a non-notched phone such as the Samsung Galaxies, that part of the screen is still not covered by view-able content, but left to the network, wifi, battery notifications
