"Amazon is currently offering only the 4/128 GB variant of the phone, and we might have to wait a little bit more until the 6/64 GB version is also available in India."

You mean 4/64 GB and 6/128 GB

I thought those were impressive and went to youtube to look at the real deal and guess what, Its a LIE
Seriously OEMs should stop false marketing trends.

Their software support is now better than ever.

I am using Honor 8 Pro Since October, 2017. I got Oreo in January and receiving monthly security patches regularly. it could be different for budget category phones.

Nova 3i comes with Micro USB Port what a joke

OS updates, features, etc. can be installed via 3rd party apps (beauty of Android) though they may not function as closely as in an OS update. Bug fixes are important and Huawei releasing so many phones only puts pressure on them to support though with Kirin, it should be less concerning.

Aslipundit, 07 Aug 2018Wont this compete with the Honor Play which is priced exact... morepretty valid comment. I think the major distinction is metal build vs a glass build. Performance will be mostly the same since both are great SoCs. Other differentiation lies in the camera department. The Nova 3i seems to have a better camera than Play. Very carefully crafted phones in the same price range by Honor. However, one wish they could reduce the number of smartphones in their portfolio which seems to be increasing every month.

Aslipundit, 07 Aug 2018Wont this compete with the Honor Play which is priced exact... moreWonder what Huawei wants with 970 and 710 Kirin so close. Play is an easy recommendation over Nova 3i anyday.

Liviu884422, 07 Aug 2018Does it really matter? You pay 300 euro for a phone and you... moreSecurity updates are over hyped but still important for anyone. Regular OS updates may not be needed but bug fixes are important so Huawei launching phone every week puts a big question mark over their ability to support them. Kirin chipset may make thinga easier but time will tell.

Arvind7955, 07 Aug 2018Honor and huawei are launching phones every week. How are t... moreWho cares as long as they give security updates. There is barely any real world difference between this year and last years android versions. For non geeks without OCD, it makes no difference. Hell, I am using an old LG Gflex2 with Lollipop in it and it runs everything there is out there. Never had any compatibility issues.

In fact, sometimes the updated OS is worse than the factory OS due to issues with optimization and lack of testing. Many phones actually become slower/more buggy with OS updates! Always better to stick to the factory OS because they are highly optimised due to proper testing during the development phase. For example, LG Phones are almost always better with the original OS. Even Samsung has a track record of crappy OS updates.

Arvind7955, 07 Aug 2018Honor and huawei are launching phones every week. How are t... moreDoes it really matter? You pay 300 euro for a phone and you keep it for 2-3 years That's quite a good deal. Updates are usually minor improvements which you can skip. So what's the problem with the phone staying the same as the day you bought it? Using Android Marshmallow in 2018, for example, still gives you access to all the apps you need. I use Nougat on a P9 and I couldn't care less about an upgrade to Oreo or Pie. I'd rather replace the phone all together for some new hardware goodies.

Honor and huawei are launching phones every week. How are they going to update them.
Can any existing honor/huawei user comment on how long honor/huawei supports their devices.

Wont this compete with the Honor Play which is priced exactly the same? The Honor play has a better chipset too. This looks better and more premium, but apart from that the honor play is the better phone.
