vkhudenko, 09 Aug 2018Still waiting for a decent up-to-date mid-ranger with pure ... moreSo you looking for Mi A2, but it's not an option?
I recently ordered the 6GB/128GB Mi A2 for my wife. Hoping it arrives very soon :-)
Great camera and so is the rest of the hardware + great price. Wonderful value. Only thing I wish was better is battery, but I think it'll be alright due to 6-series snapdragon keeping it efficient through the day.
As western prices go, this Moto Z2 Play is also a sweet deal. I really like Moto's take on android, very very close to stock and they additionals are actual improvements that works great. Moto X4 is the one with the best value/price here i Norway.

Still waiting for a decent up-to-date mid-ranger with pure Android. Checked out the Nokia 7+, but it's too bulky for me. Xiaomi A1/A2 are not an option. Maybe Nokia 6.1+, we'll see..

Anonymous, 09 Aug 2018My friend just bought Z2P only because there is no other op... more". . . no other option to choose" ??
I don't think so.
The ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom/ Zoom S (ZE553KL)
coming with FHD AMOLED!
and w. much bigger akku built in, (5000mAh)
as Moto with bulky Akku-Mods. lol
Offers much more
- dual Cameras with OIS and optical Zoom function,
- incl. RAW support,
- much better (13MP) selfie cam,
- 24-bit Hi-Res. Audio with DTS,
- Power Bank/Reverse charging etc.
One of the most underrated phones.
This phone has got Android updates much earlier than the Motos as well.
Just as one example ...
Elsewhere you can get much more for your money,
see no deal hear,
just an expensive phone.

Worst deal for Snapdragon 626 phone with low capacity battery, there was a time last year we could get top tier Snapdragon 821 SoC for far less or around 300 USD. Moto needs to wake up and get thier ass tight.

Are you... moreZ2P has a Super AMOLED display, which may be preferable for many, for reasons well known.
It has a Micro SD card slot, a headphone jack, 'mod-ability', and not to mention, an original and better design.
While A2 is undoubtedly more powerful, the Z2 Play has better battery life with its power efficient SoC, and is still powerful enough to play all the games.

After using a device with a 5000 mAh battery, not sure I could use this even if it were $99. Devices with barely adequate batteries just aren't worth my time anymore.

Are you smoking pot or what? For $300 I can buy Xiaomi Mi A2 with Snapdragon 660 and still have some money left.
