bought this baby 4 days ago and i am impressed at USD260 (i am sure you get a better deal elsewhere), it'll absolutely baffle you with all the quirks they've managed to crunch into this little number.
Pros
1) good responsive capacity touch screen, question is what's the material?
2) quite fast 1GHZ processor
3) excellent screen, pixels are almost as smooth an unnoticeable like the Iphone
4) Nice preinstalled Apps
5) excellent social apps, Nimbuzz and Whatsapp
Cons
1) No dedicated FaceBook app, none i am aware of at least
2) Battery life
3) GPS, not sure why i can't get a cold start lock without a dataplan - any advice
Strongly recommend this phone for all!

hi all dont missunderstand nokias reliability .nokia is one od the best company for mobiles.most of the nokia mobiles are ecofriendly that means less harm for mobile users.no toxic,led,etc they dont use for their mobiles.it is multi use for the earth and human.china is making dangerious mobiles with chep price.friends dont buy chines make mobile.go for branded like nokia,sonyericsso,lg,motorola.

Nokia Sucks, 17 Oct 2011You're forgetting the N97 structural defect that Nokia admi... morehave you forgot Apple i-phones death grip and Androids security holes, you forgot yellow tint of Samsung SGS 2, you forgot laggy interface of many Android phones (optimus 2X),you forgotyou forgot poor battery life of Android phones(almost all), almost all Android phones phone suffers from poor camera performance (some low end Nokia with EDOF cam take better pics than AF of Androids) what you need link? for god sake why you visit gsmarena.com BTW N8 display problem was due to drivers problem which was solved only people living in Amazon jungle have not yet solved these problem

That means lasts above 3 years. Which is less of what I can say about the Samsung phone I had. Btw, my old E52 is still very much alive.
Samsung less complain? Wait till after warranty period, see what happen to the phone. But then, many Samsung owners also change their phones every 1 to 2 years, so wouldnt notice the difference. You may say, yours is long lasting, well,your usage practice, weather, etc different from mine, my usage practice different from yours.

There are a lot of defects in Nokia's products and that's the reason why people moved on to Android phones. People are now sick and tired of Nokia phones, their defects, and the old and outdated Symbian. That's the reason why Android gained a lot of marketshare in such a short time while Nokia's marketshare crashed. People just got enough of Nokia phones and they abandoned Nokia in mass.
Think of Nokia's decline as survival of the fittest and in this case, Nokia is simply isn't as fit as the other manufacturers, like Samsung. There's no excuse for it. It is what it is and Nokia isn't the giant it used to be.
People are no longer satisfied with Nokia phones and this fact is reflected in Nokia's steady and steep decline in the past quarters.

symbian maybe the best mobile phone os, but won't be the one in handset for general purpose.
symbian is the best one for the low-end users, but it is a stupid way to use windows os in its smartphones.
palm has told us that everything can be replaced.
