Anonymous, 12 Aug 2018Clearly they are not the same person making those claims. T... moreFunny that benchmark scores were the source of android users bragging about their speed and outperforming the iphone on core counts, mhz on the cpu, ram count when they were ahead on the score. Now that android users cannot justify the benchmark scores on core counts, ram... they now use the daily use performance arguments. So easy for android users to switch defensive arguments when it does not favor them

Sebastian, 11 Aug 2018The statistical significance of the difference between them... moreIn effect this note 9 is crap better stick with note 8 or just buy the s9+ because it wont effect daily life usage hence note 9 is the worst update to the note series with the price tag not warranting the performance of the unit because it just equivalent to no s9+

The statistical significance of the difference between them translated into "impact on daily use" or user experience, is negligible. In an nutshell these benchmarks mean more in the lab than they do in your life.

Exynos is garbage, no surprise there. Don't know why anyone that isn't clueless wouldn't buy the Snapdragon Note 9 instead.

Maybe about 3k++ photos with maybe about 60 4k 30sec videos and still has room for fortnite :p besides whats the use of a laptop, as they say never put all your eggs in one basket, so its a good habit to backup your files especially photos to your laptop or a OTG USB drive hence 64gb is more than enough

Yes, the note isn't that much improvement over the S9+ (or even note 8 for that matter).

But to be fair, the note 9 has too many background services that should slightly affect the benchmark score. And in real life, it shouldn't have negligible effect on user experience, as the device should perform any task easily.

Instead of comparing it with other phones you should ask yourself two questions:
1- do I need the extra features of note 9?
2- do I have enough money to buy it?

Of you answer no then just pass on to another device which fits you better, if yes then just buy it already ;)

If you talking about this phone in this review, yes, I do believe it is a review unit. Retail units may differ and more polished. Most of the time that is the case.

ThunderCrackR, 11 Aug 2018Isn't this a preproduction unit, with unfinished software? ... moreI doubt that this will be much different to a post production unit, i mean samsung will be already boxing and shipping to stores around the world very shortly, the scores may differ ever so slightly but it will be even more negligable then the scores posted in the speedtest results
