I really can't wait to see what are they going to make... Today I sold my P20 Pro and bought a Note 9. I would not get a Huawei again even if it was the world's last phone.

Now I enjoy a phone that that can mute all the notifications at once and keep the ringtone on. A phone that I can plug my precious headphones in. A phone that does not scream if I cover the front camera. A phone that does not make misaligned images with tele camera. A phone where I can plug a micro SD inside, it does not restart itself and that it has a camera which is better in almost all ways, especially when you need it without the ugly huawei HDR, without ugly Huawei video, and without the funny catastrophic slow-mo video which looks like cut paper pieces moving over a fixed jpeg image. Also no need to plug any cables to charge it, and it's not fat as a hamburger.

My biggest mistake was trying to switch from Samsung. Never again.

That notch though. I'd rather go for small bezels than an annoying, ugly notch.

The facts that I know how much p20 has improved over the years but still tho it was something that samsung have and that huawei don’t. Probably I was too practical on camera or ui or video smh... In fact I love how amazing the performance is but it just so hard to make me move forward from samsung... not to mentioned i love doing videos using samsung and the stabilisers way more smoother than huawei. But taking photos p20 seems like the winner so far

Not sure if "generation to generation" upgrade is relevant to anyone, what is relevant is whenever the phone is good (or best) in the class. Obviously, if you owner of Note8 then maybe generational upgrades are important in the opposite way i.e. if Note9 would be so much better you might feel like Note8 is getting outdated. As mentioned in the article itself Note8 was solid performer, so to expect massive upgrade in one generation is just unreasonable and not even desirable.

Regardless it still pulls ahead. Probably due to f1.5, full use of ois, and slightly better processing.

Though there is not much of a difference between both IP ratings, we can still say that huawei fell short when it didn't give the full IP68 rating on its top-of-the-line P20 Pro. Huawei also have its flaws on its flagships. Well, it didn't give an IP rating on its standard P20, which is really absurd. Not to mention, it has a bad front camera in comparison to others in the flagship competition.
