Galaxy Note 9, 16 Aug 2018Great phone that I can't afford....Good luck with Samsung f... moreWhat are you talking about? Samsung has not innovated in almost 2 generations worth of flagships. They just iterated, updated, upgraded in a basic way. Hope this tech will be mind blowing from Samsung, but as things are looking, this tech is just hindering instead of liberating.

basic, 16 Aug 2018Anyone seen this clip? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Mg... moreSo does Samsung. It's showed prototypes to different people. It still would be a damn shame if Huawei gets the Foldable phone done first

whats the point of that device? If it is to be folded it should be folded so as to be able to make a phone call and not be too large to use as a phone. Then when u see a video or browse through internet it would then be unfolded... This concept doesnt make sense to me.

This concept design was created in a render by TechConfigurations way back in February 2018, and looks much better than this.

In any event, the dull concept images from NieuweMobiel and Jonas Dähnert, nor the concept video from TechConfigurations depict the real Samsung Galaxy X that the world is waiting for. This is a different device altogether, which is based on a separate patent from official documents.

Here's what to really expect (based on initial patents):

Now, what does bending of the AMOLED panel exactly do to the user aside from monetizing the idea that such panel can actually be bent?

Anonymous, 16 Aug 2018the big question is... will it bend? :PNahhhh. Its not Oppo

                              Btch its beautiful...

screen replacement cost will be 500$ for this fragile device

k-9, 16 Aug 2018not nice really nothing special about these future bendy ph... moreThis first/early iteration is not that interesting, but the whole concept of bendable devices I expect to get HUGE, when they find better solutions at the fold. Just imagine that it could bring back phone sized devices that could be unfolded to phablet/tablet size when needed. I have a hard time imagining many that would NOT prefer this over what is currently offered.
