... moreMan Samsung releases exactly 2 OS updates for every phoen apart the J series which gets just one barely (Samsung way i dont care)
And for security its 3 years exactly which means S6 your S6 got maybe last update and finnished.
From reports and posts from GSM Arena we know that Xiaomi gives its MUI to its even oldest devices.
By the way if you have enough skill and knowledge you can have Oreo on any device even on old S2 for example. But thats something far beyound your level skill and experience.

A person who says Xiaomi is giving better updates than Samsung (good that he didn't mention Apple) should be ignored. Xiaomi is doing great, but updates. The same goes for Huawei.

Yes, there is room for improvement as it looked like my 3.5 year old S6 would also receive Oreo but didn't.
But it had Lollipop & got Marshmallow, & Nougat as promised.
I no longer receive monthly updates, but I received the SMR June 2018 G920FXXU6ERF5 software/ security update & will continue to get the accumulated security updates released when triggered by any high severity/ critical security event.

Mi7even, 19 Aug 2018well , my sister got the galaxy note 4 exynos version , so ... morewell i have s5 with snapdragon and alpha with exynos (both of them have same snapdragon and exynos version) and i really hate my alpha (except for compact size and bezel which is metal compare plastic which s5 use)
many apps i use not working properly in alpha (my note 3, s5, and note 4 can handle that and all of them have snapdragon version)
and while games which i play in alpha support high frame rate it performance still below even my note 4 with very noticeable lags and frame drop (which still below my s5 and note 3 in terms of performance and battery life and 3 of them doesnt support high frame rate) not only that my alpha heat up much quicker than my other samsung phone which use snapdragon

No stereo speakers, No S Pen best screen, bixby Samsung pay IP68 would cost 1000 more bucks.
Note 9 cant compete.
If i buy for example D3400 Nikon i get a billion times better camera for 300 bucks than Note 9 can offer and Poco plus Nikon is 600 which is still less than 512GB Note 9 for 1300 bucks.
Even the metal and glass frame wont cost that much.
For just 10 more you anyone can have carbon fibre version of Poco which have even more durability.

You are comparing oranges to apples. The theoretical speed is not the sole deciding factor when buying a phablet. Again, Poco doesn't come close to Note 9 in terms of features, functionalities and experience. (This is true but anything extra note have dont cost 700 or 1000 more bucks depends on internal storage)
Let me tell you:
# Note 9 has THE market best display as of now, Poco's display doesn't come even close to it. (Amoled well known for butrning issues maybe its best but cost too much for nothing. Many people will not care at all. Anyway LCD cost 100-150 for repair fixing note 9 is 500 bucks which most customers will not pay unless they have insurance bought with the phone which cost a lot more bucks)
# Note 9 doesn't have the infamous notch, Poco has it (Man soon or later notch will be famous and everywhere like nonremovable batteries or the NO JACK trend, start to like notch and no jack trend)
# Note 9 has 1440p display, Poco supports up to 1080p (70% of the users will cosnider this as enough trust me)
# Note 9 has one of the best premium built with metals and glasses, Poco is plastic (for only 10 extra you can have carbon version which is much better than plastic anyway when glass breaks its another 400 bucks unless you have an expensive insurance, compared to maybe 50 or 100 for repairs at pocophone)
# Poco's camera is good, but it doesn't have OIS which means it will perform poorly in low light. Note 9 has one of THE BEST cameras (top 3) (Man compared to for example Nikon D3400 which yiu can buy for as low as 300 bucks which is still less combined price of Poco and Nikon than Samsung flagship. Samsung Cant compete with Nikon D3400 or any other Nikon or Cannon proffesional camera which you can get for 200-500 bucks which will be still much less combined price than Note9)
# S Pen is something that is not valued by someone who doesn't use it or doesn't know how to utilize it. If you think it's just a plastic add-on, you are living in fool's paradise. (Man i can definitely understand that users of Note 9 which use it instead of computer can value S-Pen but for an average user who buy Note 9 just to shine on the streets or among his friends S-Pen have no special value)
# Note 9 being a flagship will get OS updates and upgrades, Poco may not get as many (specially, given Xiaomi's history) HAHAAHAHAHA (Pure Lie. Samsung is well known for no or minimum updates. S8 got Oreo just while ago after a year or something when Note 9 gets Pie it will be half of 2019 time when Nokia will unleash android 10 to its phone and xiaomo starts giving android 10 too. Xiaomi is giving latest Mui to its even oldest phones where Samsung doesnt support even S7. But you really live some strange dream)
# Note 9 has Samsung Knox which can create a secure environment, very important if you are working in a corporate, and/or care much about security (Blah blah blah. from Google play i can download any security i want or need and i am sure there will be lot more better things that Note 9 could ever offer. Just understand that People making the Samsung will support only samsung which is a large number because Samsung is still number one. But compared to whole world and many users which are way farm more talented than samsung loyal dogs and work on its own can do things yoiu cant even imagine. Human creativity is endless and Samsung dogs are limited to what their bosses wants or needs to do. But freeroam people can do anything and everything with endless posibilities).

For a Jerryrig test yes phone failed but in real show me one person who do that to his own phones. Nobody.

Only reason that Samsung sells more is beacuse compared to xiaomi or Huawei is available in almost all of 198 existing countries in world compared to rest of those 2.
But from last week Huawei is number 2 and soon it can become number 1.
Same for xiaomi.
Man had chinese phones beofre have chinese phones now i am completely satisfied.
If my phone last 3 years and is still as a brand new and works as a brand new i can say the quality is equal.
Your words about how bad they are are taken from your mouth or other people who never ad or tryied these phones.
my old Lenovo Vibeshot still works as a brand new and i am heavy gamer even after 3 years.
My new Moto X4 which i own from begginign of sales works operfectly no problems or laggs. Everything works great like a wonder.
So again. Only reason Samsung is number 1 is its availability in most countries of the world.
Apart from that is a B grade company with high selling price compared to manufacturing price.
Note 8 brand new costed 1000 bucks or more depens on your local shop abd its manufacturing price was 379 dollars 312 euros.

If ea... moreYes because Samsung is available in almost all of 190 countries worldvide instead of Huawei or Xiaomi which are prohibited in some countries or dont exist at all in countries of the third world. If you know what i mean.
Othervise xiaomi and huawei would be top 2 and i am sure of it.
Only that Samsung have compared to these two is more sales due to above fact.
Apart from that is a bad company with bad reliability high prices no aftersales support and klack of updates. Also a lot of crappy apps which cost you a space in your phone and not everybody needsor use them such as Samsung Pay, Samsung Health, Samsung Internet, Samsung healthmeter etc.
