Burn in is a real issue for the elusive Samshizza and one third of all smartphone problems they have relate to it... Just fake news eh?
Or the FPS dropping because their chipsets are set to full power which doesn't incorporate the factor of rendering which causes massive spikes. You're better getting a Sony L1 for games, and that's saying something.

Even if rich enough that I could I wouldn't be selling it mid contract
I prefer the Galaxy over the Note series, only because I see no practical reason for the stylus, that said, I ever I did get a chance to use a Note, I am sure that my opinion would change
I am sure that most people who buy the Note will know its full potential but given the state of play pre ordering a Note some do not worry as it is a flagship phone.
To say the S9 sales under performed is Samsung hope in achieving a sales figure, that does not take into account what other sellers are doing which will affect Samsung projection.
In the UK the biggest network EE ( Kevin Bacon ) the most played adverts are for the Galaxy S9, the pre order phase may be over but maybe it's cycle e.g. this is nearer the Apple iPhone launch the price being more favorable than the estimated cost if an iPhone.

Brands lik... moreI totally agree with you, if I'm to spend a thousand bucks on a phone (which I won't) then I need to have it all and only Samsung give the most. But I also think that over 700 $ is too much for a phone. If a 1000$ phone can be sold 700$ ten months or so later, I believe they could have sold it at that price from day 1.
I'll just wait for the price to drop until I'm comfortable with it.

There you go again with your fake news!
I only see these fake news comments about 'Burn in' & 'Lag' whenever release a new flagship, I reckon they're jealous of the latest & greatest, so they choose to try & trash it instead to feel better about their current device.
Anyone that knows anything knows that Samsung makes the best screens in the business.
I've been using my S6 loads for nearly 3 & a 1/2 years now, mainly for playing Chess on my Super AMOLED screen, if there was an issue then surely I would experience an imprint or an impression of a chessboard.
But I don't see this on my S6 & I've looked hard to see with full brightness @ max nits on both clear white & clear black backgrounds, with no trace whatsoever.
So Anonymous what device do you have that's better than the Galaxy Note 9?

Samsung devices are the benchmarks for a phone in every aspect like it or not

Sorry but it has all these specs and an Iphone without half of them will still beat it in benchmark.
Gaming is awful due to bloatware and unstable FPS.
Camera is still awful.
Burn in is still a huge Samsung exclusive issue,
It says a lot, Samsung have perfected nothing.

Google has just started doing flagships since 2 years, and have always limited the features for the price (hence have a lot of scope for improvement, which they still don't do). Even if Google does make improvements over it's own previous flagship, it still won't stand overall in front of Sammy.
Apple, well, the less we say the better. They used the same design for 4 years (they were the one's who started the trend of same design for 2 years, now they are the one's who did same design for 4 years, hopefully this doesn't become a trend). Also, the iPhone X design is being recycled this year, and most probably, even next year. Also, they are the pioneers of limiting features in even 1000 dollar flagships.
LG, now even LG has been making just minor refinements for the past 2 years. Also, they have, more often than not, been below par in terms of camera, or display, or battery or something else.
Samsung has perfected probably everything. Design, display, camera (maybe not the best, but still among the best). Now they even have large battery as well as stereo speakers. The S Pen of this year has probably been one of the coolest new things to happen this year in the smartphone industry, along with Huawei's camera. They still have the best display. What more do you want? They didn't even ditch the headphone jack, they have IP68 despite having the jack and also a movable part.
Even I hate the rising prices, but if any smartphone today deserves the highest price tag, it's definitely the Note9.

Youtube reviewers all say expensive, and then proceeds to compare it with S9 / Note 8.
They failed to understand most people upgrade based on a 2 yrs cycle or longer.
People who buy this wants everything in a smartphone.. thats why you see a bump. But the unsure people will wait for price drop due to youtube reviews.. but the price will remain steady till next yr.

S9 had such same report. in the end, the sales of S9 disappointed Samsung. odd number model could not sell well. minor facelift only. no any increase on storage capacity, RAM. next Note10 should have some real leaping forward
