If WP were to succeed, it should have long time ago when it was still Windows Mobile. But up to now there's still no sign that it will ever be a hit.
Mobile industry is probably the most lucrative business so the mobile competition is also the fiercest. When you flop, there is just no more rebounding.

I doubt "quick" succeed on WP7 but they has the knowledge to make this OS a real winner, even for now the OWN Android Phones making it paid loyalties to them from any single manufacturer, and they can't deny the payment of 10 dlls for every phone they sold.

But if Microsoft people take "Seriously" Mobile market they can "crush" at any time any other OS around, as they do in Desktop market, since Google has not the power of the marketing of Microsoft, they only depend on their manufacturers, and Microsoft are very clever on that area....let's see but I see a bright future on WP7...late but sure...

[deleted post]Unfortunately Nokia has falled to far behind to ever catch up with Android or iOS.

I presume iOS will fade away slowly with the death of steve jobs and leave room for android now that android unified its OS

There will be no Adnroid gingerbread or android honeycomb . It will be used as Android 4 or 5 or 6.

There is no death for a free OS. Its free so manufacturers will be jumping for it rather than pay for windows's OS .

Nokia has chosen the wrong partner . They should have chosen android and maybe saved theyre company.

If you have to be scientists to use Android what did you have to be in order to use Windows phones before Windows 7.

And they have long failed already. Then it was Symbian which was the only competitor of Windows Mobile and Symbian burned WM to pits. This time there's already Android and iOS. Do you really think WP can succeed now that the competition is much tougher?

Those tweets are saying some nice things. Just what I've been waiting for in Windows Phone. With Nokia on board, hopefully they can bring in some top devices and add their own features (i.e. HTC has their own HTC hub).

Windows Phone is slowly rolling out and Nokia fans should stop crying about them choosing Windows Phone over Android and MeeGo. If you liked it so much, you should stick with the laggy Symbian. Or even easier, don't buy Nokia anymore and stop complaining.

LOL. Don't be delusional guys. Nobody is interested with anything Windows Phone-related but the most hardcore Nokia fanboys. Nokia is irrelevant in the US for ages now, the main market which Nokia desperately tries to appeal to, and so is WP in the rest of the world then and now. The US despises Microsoft. And Windows Phones' initial sales have already tanked. This Nokia-Microsoft partnership has all the ingredients of a colossal failure.
