lmao if they're gonna count it that way then OPPO, VIVO and OnePlus should be counted as one, they're all BBK after all.

Dr.Core, 23 Aug 2018Ok BBK Electronics is owner of Vivo, Oppo and One + brands ... moreVery true. I don't know it's so difficult for everyone to understand this. Even Lenovo and Motorola sales for the US are combined. But never Oppo and Vivo.

Thab33f, 23 Aug 2018Vivo and Oppa work as 2 completely different brands with di... moreOk BBK Electronics is owner of Vivo, Oppo and One + brands and they work as different brands in international market like Huawei who is owner of Honor and Huawei brand but the key difference between those two company is as you say the software part.
Sorry but in this article isn't about software difference in each brand but the number of shipments of smartphones in PR China, so your view and explanation is totally wrong. In other words the conclusion from article is totally wrong BBK Electronics corp, who is owner of factories where the above mentioned brands are made is the king of shipments.
If you compare this logic you could say Nokia isn't shipping smartphones because that corporation is licensing all brands (Alcatel & Nokia) to TCL and HMD like Blackberry is licensing brand to TCL, so the number of shipments is related to owner of those brands who are at the same time being produced by it.

Anonymous, 22 Aug 2018Hats off to chinese for being loyal to their own brands. It is not due to loyality. Other than the special Apple, are you able to find any brand other Chinese ones worth to buy? Samsung is abondoned just because of low quality, gimmick design and high price. I think the same will happen in other countries.

The question is how come you use mathematical operation - addition of separate brands (Huawei and Honor) in other occasion (vivo, oppo) you don't. If you look at numbers and statistics BBK Electronics (owner of Vivo / Oppo brands) has the majority of PRC smartphone market and Huawei is second.
