I liked LG ever since their LG Optimus G. They really did their best but people just decided to deny everything that is new. And so, LG was forced to part ways with their originality. LG left 30% of their customers (those that liked removable back, IR blaster etc.) in order to get other 70% (those that dont care about aforementioned, follow modern trends and want premium device).

People weren't convinced by that, by at least they should have given to LG some credit for at least TRYING something.
And yes now that they stopped trying I'm bored AF.
And the Pixel 3 will have a NOTCH ! DANG IT

People didnt want to accept their innovations (they did, but not many people accepted them) and so they turned to the other side (to the other part of people that didnt care). Same as in society, sadly :/

In the end it doesn't matter who copied who, what does matter is that every damn phone look the same. And it's BORING. Phones aren't microwaves or fridges, they got some genuine design proper to every brand, or at least they used to. What happened ?

seems the MARKETING trend now is more camera = better.
Google still beats everyone else in photo quality with a SINGLE camera.
Think about that for a second.

LG V30 looks exactly like G6 minus LG logo under display plus curved glass. Not the first time LG is using curved glass as their low end phones are using it for long period of time. It's just a coincidence that it looks like S8 as every other phone company strives to make big display and small bezels, so every phone looks the same. The only time when LG really copied Samsung was back in 2013 when they made an LG Optimus G Pro. That phone looked exactly like Note 2 except there weren't any excuses for that, LG just did it, no other LG phone looked like that. But now all LG phones looked exactly like G6 did and so does the V30.

I'm still remembering the LG's decision to wrap LCD display on the G-series phone for cost cutting reasons. The screen would be P-OLED in V-series only, like the V40 which has been leaked in press renders.

Triple cameras should be the norm in 2019. LG was ahead of the game with wide-angle lens while others used useless monochrome and only 2X optical zoom from Telephoto. It should be three cams with wide-angle and Telephoto being standard.
I love my LG G5 which introduced the wide-angle cam. It's like Yu Suzuki's Shenmue series. Commercial flop but so underrated and ahead of the game. If we can get 5 or 10X optical zoom along with wide-angle, I would proudly retire my G5 and V20 for good as a phone and only use them as my TV remotes.

I wanted g7 but the battery and inconsistent camera quality threw me off.
