And you know what is even more important? Thay have great customer support and service. If something gonna happen to my phone, I know that I can bring to them for repair and get new one for the time they are repairing. Probably you will call me one in a billion also, but I personally never had issues with Samsung phones.

I dont worry about its update cycle, I know I will get at least up to Andorid 10, maybe even 11.

                        That said phone is amazing!.

My first Samsung was s7 and I found it very good phone with nice software. Never had issues with battery - always lasted more then day unless playing games.
Also since when Samsung not making money with phones? Their not making as much as was predicted but still making good money.
If we are talking about Chinese manufacturers, then no one can compete with them in China. And china is biggest market in the world...

Xiaomi Pocophone F1 has 4000mAh battery, Asus Zenfone Max Pro (M1) ZB601KL 5000mAh battery, and oter manufactures are prepering smartphones with batteries larger than 5000mAh , and their phones are very thin, and Samsung has the demand to sell us phones that their batteries wont last not even one day? no way Samsung. Keep your phones in the selves, we don't buy, garbage in the price of jewl.None of my friends has Samsung telephone anymore, they had samsung Until Samsung Galaxy S7 after Xiomi Mid - range and now xiomi Flagships Xiaomi Pocophone F1 4000 mAh battery in half of the price from Samsung. If Samsung want to compete all this chinese brands, she must offer big battery in the next Samsung galaxy series, better display 4k, no time limit in 4k video, lots of memory 8/128 GB storage, 8/256 GB 8/512 GB . and fix the Mid - range category because the smarthphones that have being offered from Samsung, are for Garbage right now.

I'm an ex-Samsung user and a current Sony user. I have no reason to specifically defend one company, I'm no fanboy but I have something to say here: Bear in mind that S9 comes with Project Treble enabled, which means S9 might get 9.0 as soon as next month seeing now that GFXBench results already leaked. I don't remember seeing "S8 running Android 8.0 shows up on GFXBench" kinda news this time last year for S8. I certainly wasn't expecting to see this so soon. Yes Samsung changes SO MUCH of the pure Android, hence the slow updates, but Project Treble seems to serve them quite well this time. They might even surpass Sony in terms of rollout speed, due to Samsung's monumentally larger resources (both in terms of financial and number of developers)...
