i think it is some bit of mistake buying this phone early before noting users experience .
coz heating transform of this phone has AWFUL idea of releasing between battery and lcd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it is stupid idea to tranfer heat from such heat maker cpu SD845
to lcd and battery!!!!!!!

Wonderful! I like the more cleaner look rather than MIUI which looks like a typical, Chinese UI with features copied from iOS. I hope Xiaomi will incorporate this UI into all of their phones.

Xiaomi should simplified MIUI to a lighter UI, closer to Stock Android like that of one plus or sony, the ridiculous mimicking IOS should be stop.

LG Superfan, 30 Aug 2018I thoughg it was going to be called something like PUI, POU... moreLauncher and UI is different thing. User Interface are the phone android skin for many manufacturer like Miui, Emui, Color OS, Oxygen OS, Samsung Experience ETC.
But launcher is an app, like nova launcher, google launcher etc

No option for icon layout...I mean, there should have been options to keep it 5×5 or 6×6.

I've installed in on my Redmi 5 plus and compared to standard MIUI it lacks some key features. I hope they will appear later. What I do like?
- The drawer - it gives the possibility to leave on the desktop only what is often used.
- The search bar in drawer - easy find desired app
What is controversial?
- The option to use third party icon pack makes sense only if there is possibility to change the app icon with desired one. All those icon packs are already in MIUI themes, so it is much easier to install icons from MIUI theme.
What is missing?
- The most important for me - icon notification badges, even the simple red dots with number inside.
- To open toggles, you have to swipe down from very top of the screen. MIUI allows to swipe down everywhere, which is useful on big screen devices.
- Swipe up anywhere opens drawer, I prefer as in MIUI to open search window. Swipe from very bottom area could open drawer
- The left home screen with all shortcuts for calculator, compass, steps etc doesn't open.
For me, if to normal MIUI is added a drawer, for those who like it, it will be enough.
