Good, so they save themselves the embarrassment. Status on the smartwatch market is still the same, only Apple Watch is practical and useable with real life apps and support for things we actually use.
I have privilege programme in many airlines, all support apple watch, and i have apple pay on the apple watch. No other watch can be used for paying here, especially not samsung, and google; noone is planning to support their systems. I believe Garmin Pay will come soon to parts of the world outside usa but in the meantime only apple watch can be used for contact payment and airports. Its not awesome but its far superior. I suggest to keep an eye on Garmin though, actually planning to get their most expensive watch but thats much more for my pilot/aviator needs than for its smartwatch functions.

Google said: "No Pixel watch yet. We need to get our s***t together & make an appealing+attractive+price justified Pixel phone first".

That's one hell of a letdown. I feel like that is a really big mistake, unless they're preparing for a launch in the next few months. I've been really looking forward to seeing a smartwatch from Google - assuming it would receive instant updates and would have all of the features, design on point.
Let's hope it'll be happening sooner than later.

Just wondering why Google isn't even trying to enter smartwatch market. Apple showed that it can be successful and bring a lot of money if you offering good product.
