Let me also add :
Also Samsung flagships can record in 4k 60fps Sony can't. HDR is a gimmick at the best, you need to invest in a capable HDR TV to view HDR videos and those are quite expensive and I bet you 90% people here will own a 1080p TV or monitor let alone 4k and HDR. Most of the times phones are used to upload videos to instagram, Facebook and what'sapp those don't even support HDR. So HDR is pointless to have. I'd rather record in 1080p 30fps for wider device playback compatability. Moreover Sony Xperias don't even have Optical Image Stabilization. And he's talking about camera like Mr. Know it all.
Same goes for PS4 remote play, another gimmick, I've had it since I bought Xperia Z3, never used it, don't see a reason to play games on a tiny 5 inch screen when you can play on big TV also there are latency issues with frequent frame drops and lags. And not everyone has a Play Station.
4k upscale is just 1080p not real 4k, videos are blurry even when you upscale them. I have it on my Sony TV.
3D scanner is one of the most useless features I've ever come across, you can't even share the 3D scan directly to social media apps due to proprietary format, and there is no real use for it unless you buy a super expensive 3D printer which again not everyone has.

..and I never said you or anyone couldn't buy it. However unless you can't live unless you have a Sony phone there are many other devices far more worth their prices.
But that's your own fault.
It's a great device but just far more over priced than most other phones.

Would rather use a Switch with it's actually fun games and that consumes less than a phone on a fast charger. No need for "PS4 Remote" when you can take the actual device with you. Ecological, economical and convenient!
4K HDR recording: The Note 9, S9, Note 8 and S8 can all do that.
3D Scanner: How is it a function and not a gimmick? Give me ONE day-to-day purpose of this. Please don't say you can 3D Scan your food and share it on sociable networking-and-privacy-obliterator platforms , that's not what I call useful in any way.
4K Upscale: If you mean TV, then this functionality exists since at least 2014 on Samsung TVs so ha. If you mean on phones: The screen is QHD! What do you need 4K upscale for? The phone can't display it!!
HDR 10 blah blah... : HDR-10 is supported. Huge color spaces are supported. Ultra wide color gamut are supported. That's all that matters. Your weirdly specific display specification combo is not widely supported. So go ahead and try to find some specific content in thise formats. We'll wait.
