It's also easier to just make an extra controller that connects via BT like the one on the Black Shark 2.

If they're making a "gaming" phone, why not just add physical buttons? Just do what the Xperia Play did.

Finally. They should. Just add more hardware buttons and let users decide what to do with each of them. And also a switch for quick profile change. And please with microSD slot and of course a headphone jack.

Anonymous, 03 Sep 2018Add a headphone jack and a microsd slot and we are all set.Yup. Thankfully among gaming phones, the Asus ROG phone and the nubia Red magic, do have a 3.5 mm jack. However, it would be great if they could have added an SD card slot.

Don't see the point of a gaming phone, on laptops and desktop a gaming computer has alot more power than the avg desktop, but on a phone it's pointless, my s9 + runs games just as good as any of these "gaming" phones

Looks nice! I wonder how Android gaming will evolve to take advantage of phones like that. I've tried playing PUBG recently, and the game is fun, but the on screen controls are incredibly awkward. Physical buttons/gamepad would give a player a huge advantage in the game, kind of like PC gamers with keyboard and mouse have advantage in shooter games over console gamers with gamepads.

PiCosm, 04 Sep 2018The back.of that phone looks awesome from a video I saw on ... moreBut not specced better

a proper d pad for accurate and tactile feedback would be good, touch screen gaming is so meh or at least support for wireless external controller

Instead of shoulder buttons, why don't they put Action buttons in the back? I mean your fingers rest there anyway. Might be a lot more comfortable than hitting side buttons on a thin slab.
