AnonD-790664, 07 Sep 2018Sure. But updating skin doesn’t equate to updating OS and S... moreMan Xiaomi updatres OS and security as well.
And they care about they cuastomers instead of Samsung which sells phone and its done.
By the way J series gets only one OS update compared to A series S series and Note. And only 1-2 years of security updates. Samsung way.
Xiaomi supports even its cheapest phones.

i think the reason why the j7 2016 received the oreo update is because of it's processor they have the same hardware with the j7 nxt and j7 pro

Anonymous, 05 Sep 2018New MIU version does not mean new Android versionBut means company cares about its customers.
Samsung do 2 updates after 1 year first after another year second and nothing else not even security patches.
When Nokia is releasing Pie Samsung is giving Oreo.
Even a Turtle is faster than Scamsung.

I used Android in the past, and I know a lot about it, and this is really good news for Samsung users. Samsung is always being really slow with updates, even to their flagships. That's because of their heawy skin. But this is surprise.
As an iPhone user I know that currently I can expect fast updates, unlike waiting for Oreo for months while I had my S8...
