The OnePlus is the only... morealthough all the phones we buy are some kinda made in china, but don't have much trust on the Chinese vendors. Oneplus is good for performance, but not for reliability. although I would prefer FHD caompared to QHD because FHD would help in getting longer battery life.

I would better stick to snapdragon. maybe I should look into Sony. always liked their fluidity. their display used to be dull to me but now they have switched to OLED.

It doesn't bother me since I know that it's an old phone. But the fact that a Note 8 being slow compared to a 6s is just quite unbelievable. Is their something wrong with the Note?

Most probably Samsung is the one I will go for next as the curved screen is the least problematic of all. At least I can live with that rather than a poor battery life or a fade low quality display.

When you want to hide a phone's limited capability, you remove all sorts of possible hardware configurations, you cripple multitasking and cripple software customization, to end up treating the hardware like a baby. That's the iphone. A phone that seems fast and fluid because it is incredibly limited in hardware options and restrictive in user customization and experience.
