I love this phone!
I leave here in usa, yesterday I have talked with
a bestbuy cellphones associate,he told me that the samsung galaxy nexus price will be aprox. 699 usd/799 usd for not contract sim free, price variation for 16/32 gb memory right!
Now,they present it with all the future on it, plus this high res screen (not "very" HD for me !)like it has a human eyes resolution (we don't see things squared on the close-up ).Then, processor speed with lower performance then I9000 s2 (it still carry 21mbps of speed could use exinos/mali-400 ?!), but with TI omap 4460 /power VR540, but not the latest ,instead mali-400. Move more pixels need better gpu.Everybody online says back cover with skin soft touch,personally I'm gone put a cover on it on day one,got have the cover before the phone,plus htc have soft nice touch on the back,(and my spare zte the 9 dollar at&t prepaid phone it has a soft nice touch on the back! .Next is what I find out today, not gorilla glass, another cheap replacement ,instead premium quality hardware.Answer at this glass display is we use another hardened glass,yeh ,yeh, yeh.I love the body of the phone,it looks very nice,but what about the 5mp camera, do not tell me things like is not about megapixel is about the quality,yes you are right but why we step from a 5mp mediocre sensors to a 8mp mediocre sensor for the past what 2/3 years,when you put a 5mp/8mp photo on a
laptop 17 inch. or a 42inch.led tv is not the same. plus all the phone companies are working hard for the thinner smartphone... so you can dress up more and more and MORE tight !!!! we all gone be "dolce e gabbana"here.(like is already happen in my country,dolce e gabbana birth place)
But hey I still like the phone so much, but for 700/800 dollar you gone have a 100 dollar phone with a 600 dollar of software on it ?!I wish I can have an htc amaze body with a samsung galaxy I9000 s2 sim free
in it , display and all the rest.

Madhur, 26 Oct 2011yeah..but only one thing is better in Nexus,having Android ... morewhile phones like the GS2 will get updated the real question is when. Many of the carriers still don't have gingerbread available yet for the 1st Galaxy S so don't expect to see ICS anytime soon, by the time it rolls around we may see the Galaxy S3.
On the other hand if you have a google experience device (ie. Nexus, Xoom, etc) updates come very quickly. I've got a Xoom myself and have recieved my updates within weeks of release from google, currently on 3.2.2. This is really the big advantage of the Nexus line and because this is the initial release of ICS you can be fairly sure that there will be a patch or 2 needed in the short term.

A. Gorilla glass (corning) isn't the only product of its kind in the marketplace and Samsung has said themselves they ARE using another type/brand of "fortified glass". Remember the display is curved so it may not be possible to use Corning's product.
B. What gives you the impression that the camera is inferior? Have you seen some of the photography done with it already? I hope your opinion isn't based on megapixel as that doesn't imply the quality of the camera only the 'size' of the image.

I have no idea what phone you were looking for now but if you are talking about the Razr and G Nexus it's because the smaller online retailers don't have stock or pricing yet on both of them. You have to buy them from private small retailers online as they get them in stock, not electronic superstores online, they are nonsense.

you are all forgeting the nexus has an unpresedented HD super AMOLED and i think the real reason it has a 5 m/p camera was to try and keep cost down AMOLED isnt cheep you know...
