Some people just cannot treat their devices decently. I've seen countless abused phones of every sort. I don't blame the phone, I blame the user.
I had the Droid/Milestone for a couple of years until I passed it on to my brother in law who also kept it for a couple av years. He did evetually kill it after several drops whilst playing street basketball. User error. And it lasted about 4-5 years. The latter 2.5 in "abuse". So just how badly did you treat it if you killed the slider in one year? I'm laughing at the thought.
Too bad Moto doesn't make the DEFY series anymore. A lot of people that actually need that type of device. Careless users.

I'm actually hoping this device comes out the way it looks like now. I'm sure the CPU will be SDM660 (Judging by Lenovorola's tradition of using older and weaker SoCs for their past devices) but knowing them, it will have 1 OS bump, 3-4 OTAs in its lifetime, hopefully, there will be interest from the community like there is for the P2. At least the build quality will be great, the screen will cover 9x% of the NTSC color gamut or whatever and a mechanical slider would still be more durable than an automatic mechanism. Now if only it would also have a removable battery (A man can dream)

I like it, my brother has a Lenovo K3 Note and it works perfectly, he only had to change the battery, over 3-4 years.
I wish it have double GPS (L1 and L5) system like the Mi 8, a future model with all the 4G and 5G bands that are used in Europe and global/international ROM as ZUK had.

Another likely fake product from Lienovo.
Likewise, I highly doubt the durability of slider phones, the part that most often breaks is the ribbon cable connecting the display to the logic board. My brother had one of those old Nokia slider phones (it was the Nokia X3 if I recall corredtly), and the part that broke like twice is the ribbon cable.

both slide out systems broke after about a year. so I'm staying far away from this ridiculous manual slide out idea. I would rather have a small notch like on the essential phone than this slide out which will break after a year of usage.
ever wonder if it will survive a drop? it will probably break even easier on drops.

That's a so dumb method. you are probably born after the phones with manual sliders, they were actually well made and robust and could be a solution to make the phones waterproof compared to nex S and Find X. Motorized have higher chances of failure and consumes battery life.
