    Facebook is full of fake news spreaders and bad trolls these days. Shame on ZUCC.

      If the reason for deletion of the FB is security concerns, they are just brain washed. For protecting their privacy, they have to move in a cave on other planet. And this won't help.
      People are deleting their FB, because they are realising that using FB hurts. I feel bad when I read all fake news, shared by absolutely brainless people or posts from people which protect their causes and they want everyone to think same as they do. So I don't use it often, but it is OK to find an old friend or do some business.

        I also deleted the Facebook app.

        For a long time I wanted to get off from Facebook and I was using it less and less.
        Luckily Facebook themself helped me on that department by not sending me SMS with confirmation code for weeks. Now when I recovered back my account - I only use it once a week over my PC browser. Those data selling snoops have no place on my phone, and their shitty messenger app has no place here either.

          What I care about is safety. And closed source is much more secure.
          And I also care about optimization, and I don't even have to go deeply into the subject here. Android is a mess when compared to iOS on that department...

          Each to their own I guess. To me, phone isn't representation of myself, to me phone is a tool, something that I use when I need it. And I like a good working tool that's also without ton of bloat.
          Luckily, today we both have a choice to take what we like :)

                Some of that data is misleading considering, like my phone, I can only disable Facebook; not uninstall it completely. There might be more than this.

                I use a web-wrapper app called Phoenix; not much permissions. I only keep Facebook (not the app) to stay in touch with friends from around the world.

Their secret algorithm focuses most on finidng hits from a paying provider of whatever youre searching for, not whats best match or what youre looking for. Even specific searches, some hotels refused to pay to google and the result was that if you searched for their exact name and adress you will still get hits on a competing hotel that paid for visibility. This is part of the reason why google is the highest fined company of all time, their ethics are despicable.

                  If you wnat to search you have to get off google, duckduckgo is a search engine (google is not) and they give you search hits not paid hits.

Facebook does not allow nicknames, one can still get away with it in third world countries but in the western world fake accounts will be closed within a week and you will be asked to identify yourself. This has added to the escape from facebook in USA and Europe and those people are not coming back.

                    And why should people o back to facebook? A bunch of grandmothers posting pics of their grandkids, thats all it is. In the old days we could go on friendster and facebook, meet girls and then go meet them in person and have some real fun. Now its full of married ladies trying to scam every man they think have money, its 100% fake and a worthless media.

Google hasnt been fined so hard because of their good intentions, their actions prove that their intentions are stripped of conscience and decency.

                        i dont like facebook but unfortunately nearly all my games (and many apps i have) use facebook account for login or as cloud save

                                  Second, i guess it's hard to be interested of every persons personal life as far as person behaves like sheep. BUT if you are different, government or any other structure has interest in you, Google has all about you, yes, even the blood type. AND that's why i don't use any of this spyware.
