And still so far behind the iPhone X. Less than half the single core score and 20% lower on multicore. And after thermal throttling sets in, lets say 80% lower multicore score, thats a very generous guess in Razors favor.

If SD 855 would be schedule for 6 month or more from their phone release it would be fine, but with SD 855 around the corner from their phone release date. Come on, they should wait for the new processor.

Now what they need to do is optimize that battery a little better, a higher nit brightness,(700 nit or higher), and have the price right, like stick to the $750.

Anonymous, 07 Sep 2018855 wont be available anytime soonThere is rumours that the OnePlus 6T will launch in November with the processor. Which is maybe a month after this? Razer's phone sales volume is exceptionally small, so it wouldn't be impossible for them to get an early deal on the next gen processor.

So far note 9 is the best gaming phone. Especially comparing 8gb 512 version.
6gb and 128gb minimum. Better screen, speakers, headphone Jack along with the good free buds included, same s845 with great heat pipe, 4000mah, spend, and more advanced software.
Razor phone only has higher Hertz.

However Qualcomm actually made great improvements these last couple generations.
It's not just about raw CPU numbers. ..and there is much more in an soc.
Qualcomm improved the CPU while greatly improving GPU as well as power efficiency and longer lasting less throttled usage.

Maybe this is the low spec edition, while the high spec edition will be 10gb ram, sd855 3ghz soc, 4500 mah and 512gb storage. You said the sd845 is like the others, but is it faster than the rog phone though?

Dont release the phone yet, wait till SD... moreyou should compare SD820 vs SD835 because of 14nm vs 10nm. Not SD835 vs SD845 both on 10nm.
SD855 will have 7nm. it will be much faster and also will be must efficient if you care about battery life.
People complaining about why not wait till 855 probably knows that and you don't.
The next big jump will be until 5nm will introduced so 2020 will not be a big deal on processors. If you buy a SD855 you will not need to upgrade anytime sooner. I bought an SD 835 and didn't bough an SD845 because the upgrade was not enough to justify the cost, I will consider a new SD855 phone if it will be faster AND more efficient. Buying an SD845 so close to a release date of a much better processor is kinda dumb. if you are a gamer you want the fastest processor in the market and a battery that can take you long hours playing. I think you can wait a month or 2.

16:9 ratio is what i prefer, tho needs lots of improvements to become a flagship.
