10 September 2018

Besides if phone charges in 4 hours , you guys have a problem(it takes lifetime to charge), if it does so in an hour, you have a problem, can't you all just whine to yourself?

                very big leap
mate 10 lite needed 2:45-3 hours to charge for such small battery. now they bring 40w charger, huawei is behind others most of the times, but all of a sudden it jumps ahead of others then stays there for 2-3 years again. no constant progress, big leap and stop, big leap and stop

The co... moreYou mean all the comments that point out that fastcharging a battery reduces it's lifespan ? thus resulting in you buying a new one, and in case of a water resistant phone loosing said water resistance when the phone is pried open in less then optimal ways? Heating an electronic component and prying it open is not an optimal solution for said electronic components. But hey you can change your phone every 2 years ... but wait there's only 6-12 months of battery warranty ... But hey it's progress, you milk out even more money from the dodo's that bought your phone...

You can now trash you sealed battery even faster!

What a giant regression. From instant refil (replaceable batteries). We went to batteries that barely last the day and get trashed within a year. Yet fools keep buying that regression.

That's the thing every smartphone manufacturer should work on

So apparently having fast charging is a con as well. The comments below are fine examples of what a baseless hate comment is...

                              Battery throttling now...=)

Its true that it depletes the battery quickly, the way I see it is a way to make your phone unusable faster so you can upgrade to the next flagship. Hawei marketed as top of the line charging option when in reality they are thinking on the long run, let's people believe this is a cool feature when in reality they want the battery to brake so you upgrade to their flagship.

PeterThePanda, 11 Sep 2018Now you can degrade your battery even faster. =) Persona... moreTotally agree with you, but its a way to make your phone unusable faster so you can upgrade to the next flagship.

Now you can degrade your battery even faster. =)

Personally, even if my P10 has SuperCharge, I only use it when I'm in a hurry. Most of the time, I stick with slower (5W) charging so reduce battery degradation.

Huawei on "How to degrade your battery as fast as possible"
