No surprise. Their softwares are buggy, there is delay in releasing updates. And they have poor after sale service.

yes their marketing and promotional strategy is very bad. moreover they dont provide support for earlier handsets. lg dont care for updating the phone software for latest available even when knowing it is open source.. other brands provide updating f software pretty soon.

Lg's main problem was they don't release latetest update for their phones.lg's all device are now android 2.2(froyo) especially they don't release 2.3(gingerbread).other companies samsung,sonyerricson,motrola,htc,etc..., release latest updates like android 4(ics)for their old devices&newest devices.
Now lg phones daily interest down to 13%&again 7% for 2 months.
Especially optimus black is good device of lg but still it is froyo,no gingerbreat,my advice to lg release ics for optimusblack,2x,lte,3d,marque...
.I hope lg's ceo will find their update problems &release ics,for their device optimus black,2x,3d..&lg again take their marketing as well!!!!

Already known for making cheap quality products, and LG decided to not software support their latest technology... They had it coming, no respect for a company that don't care about customers after they purchase a product.

I remember I had the LG scoop for alltel and it was THEE worst phone that I ever owned. The hardware was terrible from the battery and charger port going out in a few months. The battery life started getting worser and worse. And the phone out of nowhere used to just cut off by itself. That was my first LG phone and definitely my last. Never again I will buy a LG phone.

Proof that even if you use Android (the Titanic OS), you still can be sunk. Nokia should've stuck with MeeGo though.

Not surprised. Their desirable phones since 2010 till now are only Optimus One and Black. The rest are, ugh, nothing...

Slow software update, lag'y and not original UI (look almost the same like touch wiz. LG...change thees things, keep going with PRADA design and maybe make original PRADA UI. Look at the MEIZU UI for instance, even Chinese can do it. Use your imagination not just for IPS displays, but invest on UI attractiveness, make original icons and etc. These things should be maximum polished.

Not to say great to see LG's sales drop, but they get what they deserve. Releasing LG O2X the 1st duo core phone but with froyo and a lots of bugs, promising upgrade but never see the upgrade. =(
Waste money in advertising as I saw some K-pop star like BigBang and JYJ, those advertising should really cost a lot of money. LG should focus on software update and customer services (after sales services) rather than selling bugging phone and advert as 1st duo core.
We buy for quality, not for name of "1st" duo core phone.
I guess many was starting to like LG when releasing LG O2X but then hate and ban LG after they use the bugging phone.

One of the biggest complaints i hear about LG is lack of customer support, they make phones which are capable but then the company doesn't seem to follow up, as just one example the viewty smart, it promised a lot but in the end with LG not really bothering to support it people lost interest.
I hope people from LG read this, customer support is vital, after all would anyone buy a car that you can't get serviced properly or even accessories.
If phones are supported long term and given plenty of options/software etc people will use and buy the products.

They deserve it for their lack of decent software support. they make good phones but dont update the software so u feel like u have a old phone. i bought the optimus blackcause i liked the phone and thought i would get gingerbread but LG failed.

what hurt LG was 2009 and their S-Class devices ... Arena (KM900), Viewty Smart (GC900) and Crystal (GD900) were awful.
they have yet to recover even though most people I know that have the Optimus 2X love it for its pure speed and ease of use and the Optimus Black (and white version) are nice devices.
Prior to 2009 LG was riding high with Prada, Viewty (their best seller), Renoir and lower spec K750/K700 sliders all feature phones that did high quality services like DivX/Mp3 video recording and used simple flash based UI all be it based on resistive TFT screens ...
LG needs to wake up and realise what needs to be changed right away otherwise why bother ...

If people bought smartphones based on specs alone, then LG would be number 1, which just goes to prove that good branding is a lot more important in the market place.

Any brainic working at lg should have realised that if you release a "superphone" plagued with bugs, then keep promising updates to fix the bugs that never work or come out for that matter then sales would eventually decline.

im not surprised with this results for LG ..i evn ecpected more lossses...grow up LG and start taking software updates seriously its a big joke that your 2X and black(which i own ) are still running on 2.2...ITS a shame to carry a 20K mobile running on android 2.2!!! SORRY LG its really not acceptable and i thnk my nxt fone will not b a LG...

LG along with Motorola has the worst support and software updates of all the phone manufacturers, no wonder they are doing badly.
Take note of your South Korean rivals, Samsung on the other hand has been excellent supporting customer and softwares. Samsung are also innovating products, what are you doing with your money LG????
