12 MP, f/1.5-2.4, 26mm, 1/2.55", 1.4µm, Dual Pixel PDAF, OIS
20 MP, f/2.6, AF
TOF 3D stereo camera
So 12 not 16MP for the main camera. Is the same sensor on the Samsung S9, which is 12MP.
Also I wouldn't trust that gizmochina article to much.
As for the 3X zoom. That sounds great but it's not confirmed and I don't see how they got to this conclusion based only on the not so correct specs.
I'll be happy even with 2X lossless zoom, but will have to wait and see...

Is good that OP has a good community on XDA. Most likely the will port the Pixel camera app or improve OP's one and OP6T should be able to get very good pictures.
Disappointed for the front camera also. Why just a lot of megapixels? When I switched from S7E to OP5T was horrified by the low quality of the pictures compared to the one of Samsung, even if S7E doesn't have a very good front camera in the first place. But pictures are way better on S7E than on OP5T, especially for the situation when you want a good image of your background, not just of yourself and your friends. Portrait photos are just stupid and useless for me. I really don't get this new trend...

And also gives extra nifty features like 3d and AR stuff while at it). Even I'd like to have a wide angle lens, but this isn't bad whatsoever.

Secondly, i clearly stated that the first camera sounds attractive, meaning that it should be good.
Finally, those 2 additional cams are lame & practically useless no matter how much anyone tries to justify them. A telephoto or wide-angle cam are far more useful than those.

The TOF camera apparently helps in capturing more accurate portraits, capture 3D images and also helps in AR based activities. Plus the camera setup allows a 3X OPTICAL ZOOM.

It doesn't matter how it looks outside, be it OPPO VIVO or One+. They are all siblings. Just minor modifications to some internals and software names ( oxygen is is better though) and you can stamp any name you want at its back.
Yet One+ claims itself to be premium and refuses to acknowledge it's siblings.
