gsmarena this seems to be fake news. I have a honor 8 india version on official and latest nougat ROM. Still no official Oreo update for me via updater or hisuite. Its been more than a month. Did you guys actually reach out to honor to confirm the news?

Stop Waiting. Purchase another brand mobile like Mi, Nokia, Samsung. They are quick in getting updates. Don't go for Honor anymore.

Wish they made more phones like this.
IMHO it all went downhill after the Honor 8. The Honor 9 has a WORSE camera with less features (no more laser AF). The fps is no longer a programmable button on the honor 9/10 etc... The only think they could improve is the use o/f newer SoC, bigger battery and OIS on the camera (the 12MP sensor is great as it is).
But no, they ruined the concept with nothed screens and worse camera's.
If only that pocophone F1 had an IR-blaster.... damn :-(

Even my 2016 moto Z play received... moreHonor high end phones will always be a flagship killer for its cheaper price and leave Huawei series (P9 & P9 Plus) to be the proper flagship. That Moto Z Play is near AOSP and stock android, no wonder it'll get faster.
Please dont compare it to the beauty Honor 8, along with its own nice features that no stock android have.

Waiting for my Y7 Prime 2017 (TRT-L21) for Oreo!
It's actually eligible. I also recently received the September security update, and it's already 4 months running updates well since May!
I'm impressed.
