Sony's latest phones are much better than their predecessors, not in design wise but in performance wise.
Apple and Samsung became the quantity over quality a long time ago and I know how bad they're are.
Indeed, Nokia 9 looks promising and I look forward to it.
For me if Sony closes I will always take Nokia's because they're much better than others.
Sony and Nokia are in the same sense in durability and in the features they offer.
I love Sony more and I hope they don't lose because they're a good innovate company maybe after Nokia but right now there is no company which is innovative than Sony.

Nokia 9 looks very promising.

Apple is repeatiing itself when others are moving forward. Also, it's about the competition what they're bringing next year when other phones are upgrading their phones with more OLED choices as curved ones and Samsung or Sony might bring the Acoustic Surface Audio which Samsung took from Sony because it was reported and showed the S9 with it in the SID display. If that happens next with the S10, know that Samsung will crush the competition make a fully bezel free phone.
Apple will lose and they're already afraid, other wise they wouldn't make a cheaper one with less features but yet priced like a flagship.
Please read the pattern and in between the lines than commenting back on me

They follow 18:9 screen and cut down bezels. They go back to glass backs. They change their design language by copying htc u11. They moved ingerprint scanners to the back like xiaomis. They introduce dual cameras, they used oleds like galaxies, etc. I am sure xperias with notch screen will come soon.
