Here are the new prices of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 7 (and Plus models)

Hmm, the way I can see it:
Small: iPhone SE (not waterproof)
Medium: iPhone 7 < iPhone 8 < iPhone Xr < iPhone X < iPhone XS
Large: iPhone 7 Plus < iPhone Xr < iPhone 8 Plus < iPhone XS Max
Although looking at all these prices internationally, the Best Value model is...
....the iPhone 7 Plus. Why?
It loses features like Animoji's and (slow) wireless charging. And both its Processor, Speakers, and Camera are only slightly inferior compared to the Xr. But it is equal when it comes to supporting the latest iOS Version and the Ingress Protection. What it does better, is it comes with a faster/securer TouchID and uses a more durable Aluminium housing. It's display is crisper, larger screen than the iPhone Xr. And it has a really long battery life, longer than the iPhone 7/8/Xr/X, and equal to the iPhone 8 Plus and XS, but shorter than the XS Max.
Overall, its good enough to trade blows with these newer models, but does it so at significantly smaller cost price. So unless you have the funds and really want the latest, there is still no reason to upgrade from the iPhone 7 Plus. Its what we said back in 2017, and so we will have to wait until 2019 to see if that still applies (or if Apple will finally give us some substantial reason to upgrade).

Last month, here in the Philippines, the price of iPhone 6 (not the iPhone 6s) is similar to the price of Xiaomi Pocophone F1 at 17,990php. And the price of the base iPhone SE is similar to the price of Honor 10 at 23,990php. With the release of new iPhones, I hope the price will somehow go down because I want to try iOS. Only their expensive prices prevent me from acquiring one, especially when I consider an Android alternative.

Milking for few year old tech is insane. Prices are unacceptable and you really need to be a fool to buy iPhone which is 2 years old for flagship prices of this year's models

iPhone 7 and 8 will see huge rise in sales in India.
People deliberately wait for announcement, since it is known that past model prices drop. And apple supports software for 5 years on an average.its always a great deal.

Whackcar, 12 Sep 2018It's funny how they're forcefully killing the iPhone X beca... moreThere are your usual angry cows who will defend the $1,449 for a measly 256GB.
If anyone on Reddit or abroad are defending the price tag, I hope you've got a good report with your finances counselor.

It's funny how they're forcefully killing the iPhone X because they couldn't find the right price slot for it.

The iPhone 7 will be part of prepaid plans more often. $450 is still too high. Can get them for $200-$250 after six months at Walmart or Best Buy if you look hard enough through Slickdeals.
The matte black iPhone 7 is my second favorite iPhone design behind the space gray 5s/SE.
