They have cheated with the Nova 3 camera, using DSLR samples. Not the P20/Pro.

Backside looks like the Samsung Note 3, Note 4 and S4 black line. Very old design.

I can remember my Note 3 and my LG G4 had leather Back. my LG G4 had even a flexed screen.

Apple, Samsung, LG, HTC, SONY, OnePlus, Motorola, Lenovo, Nokia, Xiaomi and etc.
just search in GSMArena for sure you'll find some stories.
Don't get me wrong, I DO NOT support anyone, who's cheating, what Huawei did and is doing is horrible but don't think others don't do. You must choose which one is cheating less or cheating in not important stuff like CPU boosting or RAM management and not in Security stuff ;)

However you are absolutley right on their false advertising. Including photos taken by professional cameras and potrayed as photos from P20 Pro (not cool Huawei). I had P20 Pro and camera was good, but I was not able to diffirentiate it from other flagships. And phone itself broke from single drop. Also I will be first not to buy a phone with leather back, or buy Huawei again at all (just my experience)
And they are confirmed copycats (notch, curved screen...)

You have to be looking over the benchmarks, see what they offer in real life and what you need most. This company image wars are seen in every industry, don't get fooled by the first title...research more what interests you and make a sound decision.

If this is the Mate20, then I agree Huawei is one of the most innovative smartphone companies in 2018.
- They've increased camera quality substantially (look at Mate8)
- They're pushing for a Big Battery trend (which Xiaomi/Samsung are starting to copy)
- They're the first to implement a 7nm chipset
- They're upgrading the (thick, heavy, fragile, slippery, fingerprint magnet) glass backs for a more proper Leather back
However, I still won't buy their phones because:
- Locked bootloader/no r00t
- No Stock Android, and bad Long-term software support
- No headphone jack
- Fraud/false advertising
- Overpriced
Suddenly the NOTE 4 looks like a brilliant device with an outdated ROM/SoC/Camera/IP-protection.
