I've been looking forward to hear from Moto, and it's been great news for me to see the announcement of the Droid Razr, I was never fond of the idea of using touchphones but that has changed drastically ever since I switched to SGS2.

I'm really looking forward to make the Droid Razr switch, but it's such a letdown to see Motorola not doing great where I come from (UAE or some might know it by Dubai/DXB), maybe they're strong at the corporate business but in the mobile-consumer segment it's very hard for me to find the latest product availability & wide accessory availability.

I really hope they fix that, and (off topic):
SAMSUNG are terrible in distributing wide range of accessories.. I don't understand this, ever since the release of the SG1, you can't find a mono-headset for gods sake, let alone the docks.. iphones are becoming mainstream here, the same goes with blackberries.

androidman121, 28 Oct 2011Listen all of u a little bunch of free ppl tht choose to be... moreMany compare Razr to Nexus, cos Nexus was a big disappointment, and some actually feel it is a downgrade in some ways from the SGS2, making the comparison valid.

With Google in Motorola's corner, and Razr winning industry acknowledgement, it is quite fair to call the Razr the King of Android for now, until something better comes along.

Surely Moto is back but will do even better with the IMPOSSIBLY thin phone in the world the Rarz and the Droid 4. We just hope that the merge with Google will help Moto to update faster their devices.

Google will make Motorola an excellent company (as it used to be)

And now they will have all the prime Updates, since Google will release first the updates for their own phones...

                            Bright move.

And the RAZR can kick a$$ of any other phone around.....

I don't know what to think about Motorola... back in the day I used to love them...
But their terrible reputation of not updating phones has severely tarnished their image - many of my friends have been left with old software and their products don't work terribly well - even the higher spec ones...
I think it's odd Google has decided to acquire them...
I guess they were going cheap...

Personally something like the Atrix is as generic and bland as it gets, and no amount of incredibly overpriced and unnecessary accessories are going to change that...

100,000 Xoom tablets in one quarter. They sold about 750,000 in total. Either way, the tablet sales figures are not a Motorola issue, but an issue with Android/Honeycomb. There is not yet a compelling value proposition to choose a non iOS device, no matter your allegiance.
