They were pretty much good at giving out updates. In fact, they were better than Samsung in this aspect back in the day. My sister's LG G4 received Marshmallow just a month after it became official on the Nexus 6P in 2015.
Probably they've lost a lot of profit when their modular G5 has failed on them, and so they started again from scratch, which made it hard for them to push updates quickly on their devices.

Glad to see them trying to deliver :)

And the people and reviewers said that they are worried about the software updates. Many said that this phone will get software update very late and slow and so on.

It's almost on par with samsung a8+ in my country.

If 5z manages to get Pie soon, Asus earns the respect after launching the device this competitive! Let's wait and watch.

Shanti Dope, 15 Sep 2018You still have the LG G7 ThinQ as a viable option.LG is still sleeping on updates. Haven't seen anything improve but working around software niggles till date.

If you're just after performance and not care about anything else, then you could save some cash with the Pocophone F1.
Out of the three, I would certainly suggest the OnePlus 6 since it's pretty much the most complete among them.
But I advice that you wait for the Galaxy S9+'s price to drop around your budget range. If you want to sacrifice some performance for some serious photography, Huawei P20 Pro it is!

And the dumbmasses just confused, end up buying chinese crap like *pp* and v*v* because they see advertisements, with pretty faces holding F7 or V9 all the time LoL...

Shanti Dope, 15 Sep 2018You still have the LG G7 ThinQ as a viable option. The LG G7 is 330-350€ more than the Asus Zenfone 5z, Xiaomi Mi 8 and OnePlus 6 where I live.
And I'm not interested into LG.
