Have a bad feeling it will go with iPhone prices. So definitely will be no go for me, whatever they will announce. No phone ever could be justifiable to cost 1000 euros or more

Combine the galaxy active, beam, zoom, note and large camera sensor.
Throw in some speakers and a massive battery.
Especially once we hit 5nm and graphene.

The major issue has been their bundling of deals on the high end and off-pricing on the low end. When the reverse should be the case. For example, the Note 9 at launch came with anywhere from $150 to $250 worth of add-ons that reduced its MSRP of 999 to as low as 749. Whereas on the low end Xiaomi, Oppo, Honor are offering exceptional value while they considerably overprice theirs.
Samsung needs to get their pricing right and start working out their update hiccups or they'd be the next Blackberry. Apple doesn't bundle deals. Their new line doesn't even include a fast charger, but they'd outsell every other brand, primarily because they'd support their phones for 4 years. Not just feature updates but performance updates. The iOS 12 is looking to bring marked improvement in usage to phones as old as the 5S.
Samsung should smell the coffee. I ain't ever getting a Xiaomi or Huawei phone. I only buy flagships and from the established brands. But there are millions out there who aren't like me. I don't think Koh is the guy to take them through this phase. He is just Elop 2.0.
You can't compete with Xiaomi that has committed to a 5% margin and adware solely on price; so also offer something they can't in addition to correct pricing. A Samsung Experience with excellent support.

Last year, apple released iphone x for their 10th anniversary, now samsung didnt want left behind with this so-called-10th-anniversary, hope samsung didnt name it as Samsuung Galaxy X (read: samsuung galaxy ten) or Galaxy SX (S ten)

personally i dont anything will be different only the number. It will be a S9 with a triple (lets copy Huawei P20 Pro) camera setup. I lost faith with Apple and Samsung Same phones each year. with the odd tweak. no innovation.

Let aside all the features that have already been present since 4.1 jelly bean..iphones are yet to implement and catch up in another decade having just figured to incorporate dual sim. Nope..messed up that as well..esim.lol

As you regulars know Huawei have already announced the 7nm Kirin 980 the world first 5G 7nm Soc
Apples A12 bionic Soc uses a 7nm TSMC which given NO super serious price hike by Apple is imo a SoC which has the potential for faster 4G LTE so not imo a 5G Soc
Qualcomm have semi leaked or partially announced 7nm Snapdragon 8**, this will be if a phone chip that will the main chip used by Samsung, and any Samsung brand SoC
Whilst there are no real world figures the hike in speed will be in the ballpark of Kirin 980 over the 970 which used a 10nm process
The A12 over the A12 and the Snapdragon 8** over the Snapdragon 845 to reiterate the A12 is afaik 4G LTE meaning the 2019 Apple IPhone will be 5G with the upgrade required in the 7nm process, and as 5G that hike in price is GUARANTEED.
The A12 bionic chip will set new records in benchmarks.
These SoC are so quick that many people could not perceive what chip is installed, only the benchmarks are the arbiters
There are flagship phones, which will be the S10, what has been happening is mid range phones are being released with chip that adorned flagship phones 3 or 4 years ago,
I do hope that the S10 has a design that conquers the world, the first Galaxy to do that was the S2, for me. Whilst desire has been very high with subsequent Galaxies I guess it's always the first or S2
