US Samsung Focus S and Focus Flash launching on November 6

I know this is old, but anyone reading here take note that the Samsung Flash DOES have a Super AMOLED screen. The one posting this did not have his facts straight.

Thank you Samsung for such an excellent device the focus s, will be definitely getting it. I like all the criticism about the OS's limitations as I see you are bored with your current OS so you want Microsoft to meet your need with wp7 or you would not have noticed the flaws (conscience somebody)

Windows Phone may ... morethe limitations will drive you nuts. apollo update (its just support for higher res..no new colors or flash) will be disappointing just like mango...500 new changes? i saw only 7 or 8 new changes....the apps on wp7 are all scrutinised by windows....so no customising app is available coz that will alter the registry of the phone....no sms backup....also there are only 2 colors for the background!! lol.....limitations are maddenning on this phone (ps i am not some modding nerd)

Windows Phone may have a few limitations but I'm sure that the Apollo update will bring great things. If you're disappointed there's not much customisation, don't be. I've had two Android devices and the whole customisation thing gets boring. Windows Phone is simple and smooth. I mean, it doesn't even need dual core to run smoothly whereas Android devices do. Even so, some still lag with dual core. Also, the browser is choppy on Android. I'll be getting a Windows Phone device when the Apollo update comes out (which is said that we will see dual core, LTE, NFC and higher screen resolutions). Who knows, they might even change some of the home screen but I like it just the way it is now. Hopefully Nokia will stick with Windows Phone and deliver some good devices. I'm not looking for an iPhone/Android killer, I'm looking for a phone that suits me. Metro UI is great.

actually wp7 is not awesome....i have an hd7 with mango....the limitations are still shocking in this OS...10 year old pdas have more features than wp7.....i am gonna part exchange this for galaxy s2

WP7 is just awesome :) And it is not boring. I love it. I had Android phones, but I hated them. At first, I liked them, but they were boring. Even with so many ROM's and launchers I didn't like Android. It is just not so fast, fluind and the UI on Android is horrible. Love WP7 :)

Samsung Wave 2 got bada2.0(just a month) ago, but I can say there aren't thay many apps for that os...i would prefer symbian over bada anytime. Tizen is just a project that is most likely to end up like Meego.
However, surprisingly, bada has more share in the smartphone market than window os(at least until Q2 of 2011) and that tells something...

i was skeptical about window phones, but after handle a couple of mango(7.5) phones. i think they deserve a better media&public attention.
It's certainly not better then iOS(im a big fan of android, but consistant updates from apple is a huge advantage.), but it can be catch it someday.

For example agains... moreYou make some good points but Meego is No More. Nokia pulled away from Meego for WP7. They gave up on it.
Intel and Samsung have it now under the newly Evolved name Tizen and it'll support HTML instead of QT so expect the same Meego most of us know and love but with a simpler, more cross compatible experience.
The question I have though is what will happen with Bada now that Samsung are focusing on Tizen and Android?

For example against Android:
-Lot more stable and you can actually trust apps to work on your phone
-Lower end experience is smooth vs. painful on Android
-You get updates on time and on all devices
Android is great if you always have the latest and greatest (and most popular) superphone, but the experience starts to fray the further away you get from that center.

Against Apple it offers change, innovation and options. Also, a lot better integration. I think the future is somewhere along WP7 (and MeeGo) way of thinking. For example getting up to date on your interests shouldn't require opening 5 different apps.
