Compared to 700 eur Icrap with 18 hours of battery life xiaomi is really dominating on market.
Apple please learn how to make real usefull gadgets from Xiaomi you crazy mad insane company rules by even crazier maddest and tottaly insane people with zero skill for creativity.

Unfortunately Xiaomi have a personal... moreDon't know why you wouldn't I leave it on while showering, as do many people - haven't had a problem yet, and seen many that say the same - IP68 should definitely be 'shower proof' - the problem is when people se the IP68 rating as adequate for swimming which it isn't

That's miles away from the pressure upon the device from smashing your hand against the water and the pressure of pushing it at speed sumberged while swimming. The bare minimum for that is a 5 ATM device - minimum. Don't misslead people by wrongly presenting the rating. It was never claimed (by any producer) that IP68 means it can be used for swimming.

The generation before last - the PACE - had no real problems and it has been updated continuously up to now (and no end projected yet) and works really well. Samsung has Tizen, which is not WearOS, some other manufacturers are also using other proprietary software...

No need to sidestep this, as even the 2 generations back PACE was the absolute best value for money sportswatch on the market and there are only improvements on that -- it's not a smartwatch to rival Gear or the Applewatch as that's a completely different class of watches that aren't a dedicated sports watch .... You're comparing apples and oranges...

So, for them IP68 and IP67 is not waterproof up to 1,5 m and 30 min. So, Amazfit Pace with IP67 is not recommend to be used in shower.

Wear OS is the only true integration for androids. Apple Watch for iOS.

The forums are plenty of them. The the force and hits against the water swimming, etc, make the IP68 - IP67 not advisable to swim.

At IP68, it is totally protected against dust penetration and impervious to water ingress for depths greater than 1 metre up to the limit specified by the manufacturer.
So it's totally okay to swim with this as long as you don't dive too deep.

We were waiting for an improved Stratos. This looks like a joke.
Release an improved Stratos 2 with an accurate optical heart rate sensor, add the ECG like the band and maintain the quick release straps and multisport capabilities including swimming!!! Of course, a dressable version 3S with sapphire crystal and then ask for our money. Then I'll be happy to buy two Stratos 3S.
