Snapdragon 821 in my Pixel has supported 4x4 MIMO Antenna long before Apple launch XS and XS Max.

Compare this with SD 845 LTE modem speeds, battery consumption, reception quality etc...it's too early to declare anything now...real world test will only prove their worth.
