Oppo was quite an established brand, so people trusted Realme quite easily as compared to Xiaomi which started from scratch...
Similarly, Realme operates from same factories as Oppo and most of their phones are rebranded Oppo models with slight changes, whereas Xiaomi just had a small office in Bangaluru at the time of India launch..
Oppo service centers are a backbone for Realme as they don't have to worry about such Over The Top investments in India which Xiaomi had to face when it first set its foot in India...I hope you have not forgotten the Xiaomi-Erricson debacle leading to Xiaomi sending a chunk of its shipments back to China again since those had MediaTek chipsets...
